David was awesome

David - AWESOME job. another excellent performance from him.

Carly - i dunno what Simon was bishing about. i thought this was one of her best performances.

Agreed. I really like the song "Without You" (which I thought was by Harry Nilsson). I thought Carly did a good job on this one.

David A - Really good but erm I didn't think it was INCREDIBLE. One of the things that annoyed me was how they let the background singers sing most of the chorus. David A could have easily done that by himself.

Carly - Really good, yeah Simon was too hard on her

Syesha - Good song.. she did a good job too

Syesha - good, a little over-the-top, but good. and STFU Simon. if she had chosen a popular song you just would've compared her to Mariah.

Brooke - Am I the only one who thinks she's worn out her welcome by now? Really, after David H. & Chikezie got eliminated, Brooke is now my least favorite in the competition right now.

Kristy - Kristy Lee Cook, you really can sing! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise and let it get you down. That was a great performance. I think Kristy is a sweetheart.

David Cook - I thought it was good, but I dunno about amazing.. but that might partially be my fault because when he kept singing it, all I kept hearing in my head was Mariah and her going "Doo doo doo, oh, doo doo doo doo doo doo oh"...hahaha. I'm gonna watch it over again later and see if I like it any better.

David Archuleta - He's been my favorite and my AI7 pick since his audition. I even have a $50 bet going that he's going to win it all. And aside from one or two performances that fell flat, I've pretty much praised everything he's done. Last night, however, I wasn't too impressed with "When You Believe." I think he might have over-sung it. It's kind of similar to the ending of almost any Christina Aguilera song (sorry for the comparison), when she just starts yelling, humming, and making sounds, rather than singing actual lyrics. The entire performance felt like that until he hit that nice note at the end. He's still the best though!

Carly Smithson - I've been bored with her since the second Beatles night, but she was OK last night. I thought she was better than she's been in the last month. It still wasn't anything impressive though.

Syesha Mercado - One of the most underrated contestants on American Idol, ever. She's been consistently good for weeks and the judges keep sort of putting her down. Anyway, I wasn't too familiar with the song last night, but I thought she was very good. It might have been "forgettable," but still one of the best of the night.

Brooke White - I think "Hero" is one of the most memorable pop songs in history. I'm sure it's difficult for anyone to hear someone besides Mariah sing it (myself included), but I think Brooke put a nice little spin on it. I enjoyed it. And I love Brooke.

Kristy Lee Cook - I think "Forever" is one of the all time best Mariah Carey songs. Kristy Lee singing it though, was THE definition of butchering a song. I bet Mariah got chills from her alright...

David Cook - I felt to fall asleep during most of it. The end was alright though, I guess.

Jason Castro - I didn't think it was bad, but I found it kind of weak. He still hasn't had a great performance since "Hallelujah."

When I say pimped, I mean EXTREME, over-the-top "TCO" material. Every season, there comes a point where someone will get that spot.. and it won't be Davey, and it isn't and never was. :o I dunno about Kubuntu being TCO, because to be honest that year I don't remember anyone being THAT pimped. In reality, though, I'd rather Davey get 2nd or 3rd with the judges not going on one of their over-praising, dishonest RAMPAGES with him, then seeing him win and know it was tarnished by the judges' unfairness towards his competitors. And if D-Cook wins, that's the only reason it'll happen. The sheep-like AI viewers will follow Randy, Paula & Simon's lead and take him to the title. The judges will stop at nothing to get what they want, even if it means they'll go the route they did with Kim Locke in season 2, being unfair in their judgement towards her to keep Ruben in the finale. So, as much as I want Davey to have that moment, just because I love him and want him to experience that.. you know, taking the high road isn't always the easiest road. But I find solace in knowing I stuck to my guns in denouncing the judges' bias bull**** regardless of whether or not I liked the person who was getting the praise. That's why I said, D-Cook will only win this thing if the sheep-like viewers are bamboozled into thinking he's ''the one'' by shady judge handlement. Notice, when he got luke-warm or bad comments from the judges, he was quite low on DialIdol. He's depending on those casual voters to carry him through, but they can be the difference maker. Davey has always been #1 or #2 on DialIdol, regardless of his performance quality or the judges' comments, comfortably. I really don't KNOW who will win, and I'm not trying to predict anything one way or the other. For all we know, Jason could come from behind and shock us all and take the title. About the Davids and judges and stuff, I think confidently I can say we MIGHT see a David vs David finale, I can almost see it, I would prefer an David Arch and carly or Brooke finale, but the way thigns are going.. yeah. BUt if David Arch ends up being runner up, itll probably end up seeming like he won like with Clay and Daughtry, only Daughtry got 4th place. Just cause they win doesnt mean they wont have a big career, look at J Hud, she didnt even make top 5 or 6 , and now has an Oscar, so ya never know. No, "Phat Kracka" is not overrated and the judges aren't full of it. I don't think Cook's performance this week was VOCALLY his best. However, I felt the connection with his song when he performed and the arrangement was amazing. Someone who went to the taping on IDF said the whole section she was in had everyone in tears or near tears. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree cuz it was a very polarizing performance - either love it or hate it and I happened to love it and I stand by my points.

LOL, and Archie isn't overrated? I've found quite a few of his performances boring, yet the judges are still all OMG about him.

And I still don't get why people think Cook is arrogant ... I haven't seen it at all. NGH on IDF made a great point regarding DC at this week's results show:

5. Tonight David Cook had an ample opportunity to tell the world about his brother’s cancer treatments and the terrible situation his family finds themselves in… but, he doesn’t. He doesn’t milk a sob story at all. If he just told the truth tonight about why he was so emotional he would get an influx of votes. He didn’t. That says something great about David Cook’s character. If people tell you that they think he is pompous you should drop kick them.

honestly if D-Cook wins, he's just going to be Bice'd and wind up failing. so...i dont know why his fans would want him to win. he'd be better off not making the finale, honestly. like Daughtry.

but i still think David is the "ultimate" TCO. he has more fans then David Cook, and he fits the "mold" much more. if this thing is actually based on votes i'll have confidence he'll win. the only time David Cook has beat him on DialIdol is when the judges praised him to be the next Godsend. when he an off-week he was in DialIdol's bottom 3. when David had an off-week he was #1 by a large margin lol. fan-wise David Archuleta definitely has it in the bag.

my theroy is: David Cook is the judges' favorite, but David Archuleta is the producers' favorite. last year, Melinda was the judges' favorite but Jordin was the producers' favorite. look who won.

LOL, I honestly can't see TPTB effing Cook up after promoting this season of Idol as an ARTIST YEAR!!!1 I have a feeling they like him enough to do whatever he wants with his music, even if he wins. LOL, I don't care. I just want him to win cuz I've absolutely loved him every week and I think he's phenomenal in every single way and he just deserves it. Then again, Idol's just a title anyway in the end so no matter who wins, it's what they do after the show that counts and shows you who really is a winner. Cases in point: J-Hud and Daughtry.

I don't remember if the judges commented on Cook's vocals on Tuesday, they just talked about the performance aspect?

David Cook was my favorite of the night. He took a corny song and made it amazing.

I liked Jason's take on "I Don't Wanna Cry". I hope we see a David C./Jason finale with David C. winning. (I would have preffered a David/Michael finale, but a girl can dream :D )

The girls and David A. were just OK for me.
