anyways, to those who have heard the album...do you prefer it to THE EMANCIPATION OF MIMI, or was mimi better? I for one still am not sure, but i'm kinda leaning towards emancipation, just enjoyed it more, not that this album isn't hot.

you're kidding? cruise control is in my top 5. and for me, i loved the mimi album start to finish, every lyric, every note. this one is a little different. still need to hear it 50 more times, cuz u know how much i change my mind.

I don't hate Cruise Control, I just don't really love it right now. On Mimi, it took me forever to warm up to It's Like That, and I absolutely hated (and still do) Say Somethin'. I wasn't surprised at all when it didn't chart well. I wish Get Your Number or One and Only would have been a single instead. But so far on the new album, I don't dislike any song.

The new album is much better than her last. The relaxed, fun feeling of this album is a breath of fresh air compared to the overly calculated The Emancipation of Mimi. And with the exception of two or three songs (one of them being the disastrous "Touch My Body,") the album is worth listening from beginning to end.
