Help!
I have a friend who INSISTS that Harriet was played by FOUR different actresses (she also thinks that there were four Vivians' on "Fresh Prince" too), no matter what I tell her. I KNOW that there were only two - HELP ME!
Can anyone tell her (I will make a print-out of this) that there were only TWO!

Yes, there were only two Harriette Winslows - Jo Marie Payton (1989-97) and Judyann Elder (1998). That's it.

Right. Harrriet was played by the same actress for the first eight seasons, and half of season nine. She was replaced midway in the final season by a second actress, that's about it.

From what I read, she said that she was not being used for the front burner storylines on the show and got tired of being in the background. She decided to move on so the Christmas episode can be remembered as her last one.
O.T. I believe that both Judy Anne Elder and Jo Marie-Payton portrayed Wanda's mother on "Wanda At Large" at differents times on the series.

I'm beginning to worry about your friend. Seriously...
Something I never knew........I always thought Jo Marie Payton played Harriett on all the episodes? Im goin to have to go watch the last season again to notice.
