I don't know why, but I get a "skank"! feeling when I watch reruns of some of the Penny episodes! Penny telling J.J. she loved him and asking him to pretend they had a baby together....Skank! She even said,"Oh,boy, I get to sleep with J.J!" And don'tforget, she follwed J.J home! She also told JJ, I'll be whatever you want me to be!" (or something like that). SKANK! I know this was supposed to be all innocent,but if Penny were a 20year old,Iknowshe would haven come up skanky. (But, most 20 year old woudn't still be abused by their parent/s). Had she been a 20 year old and followed JJ home, he probably would have called her a stalker and called the cops!

Lots of preteen girls are like that when it comes to older guys. Penny eventually grew out of it.

In my first post on this thread, I said, "What is she had been a 20 year old? he would have called the cops on her!" I posted that post without remembering that when she was 20, she was making Nasty, Control, The Pleasure Principle, What Have You Done For Me Lately, When I Think Of You, and Let's Wait A While videos and she was DAMN pretty!(not in a gay way, of course).:) ;) I doubt he would have called the cops on her!:crazy::lol:

With Esther Rolle being so upset at the way J.J.'s character treated women in the show, it's a wonder that she let Penny be porytayed as such a young slattern over J.J.

I think it very ironic that the little girl at the center of "Stomach Mumps" went on to make such a big controversy 25 years later at the Super Bowl. I cab't help thinking about that every time I see that episode.
