I actually wrote Kim Fields a fan letter when the FOL was first on. Never received a reply :(

I used to confuse Lisa Whelchel with Kathy Garver of "Family Affair" fame

Her appearances on DS all coincided with the first and second seasons of FOL. That bowl cut was during the third and fourth seasons of FOL.

Actually, it came in early 82'. Personally, I liked the bun, bang and hair down from the back of her head better during the first half of that season.

I have absolutely no problem with the wigs. However it may seem fit to you. Regine was able to wear those wigs with style and she was comical with the wigs. I could live with that I was married to her. Her laugh would get to me too.

She sure was made fun of.  I loved the jokes that were thrown at her. Did you see the episode where Kadijiah's ex I think that it was princess' hair. Regine was all happy saying stuff like: "Wow! She use conditioner onb the hair." She goes upstairs with her short hair do and comes back down later in her jogging outfit with this long pony tail and bang in her head while jogging saying: "see ya'll later" and then leaves.

That was all time funny! Max and Kadijiah really made fun of her!

:brent Thanx for that laugh.
Oh Kadijiah was so damn funny. I haven't seen the show in a long while but I remember Regine was always being made fun of her wigs/hair. She took it all in stride though.

I had a bowl cut as a kid (not my choice, my mom's) and it embarrasses me when I see pictures now. :o My mom's always had short hair and always had my sister & I cut ours short. Once I became a teenager, I started styling my hair MY way, and now my hair is more than halfway down my back. She still wishes I'd cut it - NO WAY!!

OMG, my niece had one too. When we pull out the picture album and say, "Awwww look at your hair." She cringes and then laughs. She tells my sister, "How could you make me go around with that stupid haircut?" We all laugh. She said, "If I ever have a daughter, she will never have a bowl cut."
