Blondie will hit the road to mark the 30th anniversary of their classic album Parallel Lines, two years after singer Deborah Harry announced the band would no longer tour.

The day after the group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in March 2006, the "Heart Of Glass" singer announced that Blondie's then-upcoming U.S. tour with the reformed The Cars would be the group's last.

But now the band will commemorate its landmark 1978 disc Parallel Lines with dates in U.S. and Europe this summer.

Blondie and The Cars, should be a good show. Just wondering if thats the New Cars with Todd Rundgren or the original Cars with their original singer.

Todd Rundgren. Ric is a music producer now. Remember? The Wheezer album he produced in the 90s?

Thank you for the news. I was really hoping the original members would get back together, of couse without Ben Orr, who passed away afew years back. The band just doesn't sound as good with Rundgren and the other new members. I remember seeing The Cars live in concert back in 78 or 79, and they put on a great show. We were right in front of the stage, about 6 feet from the band. It was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.
BTW, I was a huge fan of Blondie as well, never seen them in concert, but I liked alot of their music. I bet that would be a good concert to see.
