LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The CW is launching a provocative new campaign for "Gossip Girl" using an image of two characters having sex.

One version is branded with the letters "OMFG," which is online slang for "Oh my f---ing god." A tamer version uses "OMG." The image is taken from the show's pilot. Another ad in the series shows two characters making out in the back of limo branded with the ":O" emotion.

The ads are designed to promote the return of "Gossip" to original episodes on April 21 after its writers strike-induced hiatus.

The images hit the Internet a few days after the conservative watchdog group Parents Television Council targeted the CW for an anti-indecency campaign. The PTC is encouraging its members to file FCC complaints about a scene on "America's Next Top Model" that showed pixilated nudity.

"We wanted to create a provocative campaign that stands out from the competition and reminds viewers of some of the 'OMG' moments that have made Gossip Girl one of the most buzzed-about new shows on television," the CW said in a statement. "This sexy, sophisticated campaign speaks directly to our adult 18-34 viewers using expressions that are part of their lexicon."

That's nothing, my eighteen year old cousin has read the book series and had said that the show is a WHOLE lot tamer than book series.

Bottom line, kids shouldn't be even watching this show anyway, so no one can't blame T.V, yes some images are pretty bad, but with the technology that is available to parents to montior what their kids should and shouldn't be watching, no one should be up and arms about "Gossip Girl" or whatever show that comes on after the family hour. I make sure to block certain shows in my home so my kids wouldn't see it. It's called good parenting.

Leave it to the stupid ad gurus to take something like teenage sex and make it dirty.

If I add my two cents, it will turn into a dollar. I will keep quiet.

I've actually seen it and it doesn't really show the two having sex. BTW: This show is really stupid anyway, the only saving grace is Blake Lively, this show is trying to outdo another show about vain rich teens, "Beverly Hills 90210".

Why can't parents just make sure their kids don't watch the shows instead of trying to get them to change them? These commercials definatly make the show seem less like a show young teens should be watching, but if they want to make the show for an older audience what is wrong with that. I would like to see the CW change it's stereo type as being a channel that just teens can enjoy.

And on the top model complaints, I don't see what is wrong with having girls model naked, as long as it is tastefully done. Modeling nude is a part of modeling and it would be hard to do a modeling show without it. I watched the episode and it was just a girl posing naked on a bed, and they didn't even show anything.
