I never liked the "Mertz & Kurtz" episode. There was very little comedy in that one...it was too much of a sentimental feel-good episode and definitely not their usual format. It was always my least favorite next to "Drafted" & the Harpo Marx one (too corny).

Nertz to "Mertz & Kurtz"!

I agree, it's also MY second least favorite after Drafted. But Harpo is among the best, not the worst.

Oh my, I love the Mertz and Kurtz episode, especially the "On the boardwalk in Atlantic City" song they do at the end. I don't know what it is about that song that I like, I just enjoy listening to it. Weird, huh? I also laugh at the "By Jingo" song they do in the apartment, because I always think how did these two talentless hacks ever earn a living in showbusiness!?!

I'm Switzerland on the Mertz & Kurtz episode. I liked the Harpo Marx one although I wouldn't call it one of my favorites.

Yeah, i agree, Harpo's is not the best but the mirror routine was a classic. Mertz and Kurtz was a sweet ep with sacharine flowing everywhere, but more SWEET than funny. They warn diabetics not to watch unless they have insulin handy.

 There were not that many funny moments on that episode. Yet, I never considered it one of the worst. Though, it was not one of my faves either.
