What does 'ship' mean?

'ship' means wanting two characters to be together.

"Ship" is short for "relationship". I guess it's more a fanfic term, than anything - but it does get used fairly common in the general fandom.

Where have you read the stories? I looked on fanfiction.net and there aren't really any Alex/Lauren or Alex/Ellen stories

I ship Alex and Ellen. I haven't really seen many of the episodes that Tracy Pollan was on. I have seen more of the ones with Courteney Cox, so I like Alex and Lauren together, but he is great with Ellen too. :D

Actually, I have an Alex/Ellen story up - called Alex's Bet. Also, the prologue and epilogue of When Realities Collide - which is a crossover with Back to the Future - are Alex/Ellen. The two have reunited in 1990.
