A lady that would appeal to the male viewers much like Vinnie appealed to the females...

That's a good idea, but honestly, I thought that whole class was considered "Sweathogs" and not just the main four guys.

I always considered Vernajean and Rosalie "hotsie" Totzie to be sweathogs.

I would say no, because dynamics change when a female is in the mix. I liked seeing all the guys together, just being comfy with each other. Every time a girl came into it, someone had a crush on someone else.

So did I. In fact, in the first episode, Kotter said to Principal Woodman:
"You're giving me the sweathogs [referring to the entire class]?"

They should have had a main female Sweathog. I always wondered why they didn't use "Hotsie" more. She would have been perfect for a main sweathog character.

Angie anyone? As played by Melonie Haller. Remember how well that worked out?

I disagree. I've always thought of Vernajean and Rosalie Totsie to be sweathogs as well, they held their own. Too bad they didn't keep them as part of the cast. The actress who played the character Angie, was wrong for the part period.
