Endora invites Darrin and Samantha to a wedding out of town, but Darrin is not sure that Larry will give him a day off. Endora thinks about turning Larry into an object, but thinks better of it when she asks Larry to let Darrin go. Endora learns that he is looking for a teddy bear for his son and she brings a teddy bear to his office. Darrin thinks the worst when he sees the teddy bear sitting in Larry's office, and after a series of misunderstandings, everything clears up when Larry actually walks in! It seems that Larry was out somewhere and Endora left the teddy bear in his office while he was out.

Speak the Truth
Darrin learns that the truth does not always set you free when he is bewitched by a statue placed under Endora's spell that makes everyone tell the truth.:happyface

The last ep I watched was Ling Ling from Season 1. By the way, Speak the Truth is one of my all-time favorite Bewitched episodes. I watched it with a bunch of friends once and we were all doubled over with laughter. :rofl:

Aunt Clara tries to help Samantha fix a lamp, and conjures an electrician, none other than Benjamin Franklin. Darrin is amazed at Franklin's appearance and Larry thinks it is a great advertising campaign for his new client Franklin Electronics. Samantha agrees to take Franklin out to demonstrate how his inventions are used in the twentieth century, but he goes out alone! After a mishap with a fire engine, Ben is arrested. Out on bail, the Stephens return home, but now, Ben disappears! Clara has remembered the spell........ to be continued.

Samantha for the Defense

Aunt Clara remembers the spell to bring Franklin back when nosy Gladys Kravitz tells all about the Stephens' happenings. It seems that Franklin will be punished to the full extent of the law when Larry tells about how great a publicity stunt it is, with the District Attorney listening! With a little bit of magic, Samantha gets the people to root for Ben Franklin. In court, Samantha tells everyone that Ben Franklin has done no harm ever since he appeared and that he cannot be accused for stealing his own property. The judge drops all charges and Franklin is free to go.

A Gazebo Never Forgets

Samantha applies for a loan to tear down a gazebo and to construct a rumpus room. The nosy bank inspector comes down to check out the land and sees a live baby polka-dotted elephant mistakenly conjured by Aunt Clara. The baby elephant was from a toy that Tabitha had wanted in the park. Larry comes by to see what the fuss it all about, and Samantha tries to hide the big baby from him.

Yes I remember this ep well. It's NEVER nice to mess with Maurice: silly witches! He sure made them CHILL OUT real fast, LOL! The birdie voices were cute and the witchy gals do deserve credit for a cute zap! Maurice is definitely the coolest warlock on the show IMO.

I was watching some of the season three dvd last night and the last episode I watched before going to bed was: "The Short Happy Circuit of Aunt Clara". I just love Aunt Clara. She was so adorable and funny. Like Dick York, there was just no way to replace her.

Congrats to you and everyone over at the Benson board - that is by far the longest A-Z thread on all the individual boards!! I dropped out rather early because the first season is the only one I remember watching (the rest I haven't seen since the 1980s when I was a kid and it aired in syndication). You guys :rock:!

Driving is the Only Way to Fly - Samantha wants to learn how to drive, but after an incident with Darrin, he enrolls her in a driving school.:)

There's No Witch Like an Old Witch - Poor Aunt Clara. She feels useless when her magic is out of whack, and nearly destroys Sam and Darrin's house when she tries to help out. & goes babysitting

This one was ok, but no Darrin. I wonder if the cousin played the part that Darrin was originally supposed to have. Of course, then it wouldn't have been Darrin turning the pushy salesman into a dummy, but Endora.

I feel the same way about watching the Season 5 episodes. I don't know how DY did some of the physical comedy he did in the series. He must have been in constant pain doing some of those scenes, but you'd never know it. What a trooper this guy was!

They recently started the Dick Sargent eps. Just saw the Holloween one, where Endora turns Darrin into a witch. Pretty much a rehash of the other Halloween eps.

Elizabeth Montgomery has in my belief`never been lovelier than in this episode.

Gladys sees them there and asks about Adam and gets no response. Gladys calls Darrin, who calls Samantha who doesn't know what is going on. Later, Tabitha gets a stomach ache from eating too much and confesses to her real mother. Seeing that Tabitha has learned her lesson, Samantha blinks away the fake "mother".

Samantha's Super Maid is one of my all time favouite episodes of 'Bewitched". Mabel Albertson is a riot in that episode, LOVE her confrontation with Endora at the start, those two sparring together is always such fun. I love the "domestic" stories that didn't revolve around always trying to save one of Darren's accounts at McMann and Tate

I just watched "If the Shoe Pinches" and Mona Sammy" God I preferred Kasey Rogers wearing the dark wig as opposed to her reddish brown natural hair

A IS FOR AARDVARK: Darrin suffers a sprained ankle, which results in Darrin resting in bed until his ankle heals. Samantha becomes tired of running up and down the stairs to answer his requests, so she gives Darrin the power to be granted whatever that he asks. Darrin becomes more than comfortable with this new power, and Samantha sees that she's made a big mistake. Darrin asks that she take them back before any of it happened, so she "rewinds" time to before the accident.

IT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN TO A DOG: Darrin's new client Mr. Barker gets zapped into a dog by Samantha, after he makes unwanted advances toward her.

LITTLE PITCHERS HAVE BIG FEARS: A neighborhood kid (Jerry Mathers look-a-like kid brother), with an over-protective mother (June Lockhart) wants to play baseball, and Samantha helps him out.

THE WITCHES ARE OUT: Darrin's new client is in the Halloween candy business and wants an ad with an old ugly witch in it, but Samantha and her elderly witch friends, change the new client's mind with a Scrooge-like visit in his sleep.

Last night I watched Season 1

IT'S MAGIC: Samantha is nominated by a community charity group to hire the entertainment for their benefits' fundraiser. Samantha hires a has-been magician and even becomes his assistant. Samantha zaps him some help, which goes over big and lands him a spot on a local TV show!

LOVE IS BLIND: Samantha friend, Gertrude and Darrin's friend, Kermit (Adam West) are introduced and immediately take a shine to one another. Darrin believes Gertrude to be a witch, for she's not the kind of girl that Kermit usually likes.

Last night I watched Season 1

THE CATS MEOW: Darrin disappoints Samantha by not celebrating an anniversary dinner with her and goes to see an important female client. Samantha teases him by suggesting that she turn herself into a cat and go with him. While at the client's, a Siamese cat appears, and Darrin thinks its' Samantha!

A NICE LITTLE DINNER PARTY: Darrin's parents come for dinner and his Dad feels old and useless after retiring from his job. Samantha's mother, Endora also comes for dinner and her charming compliments flatters Darrin's Dad. Darrin's mother becomes jealous and soon the two split up. Samantha uses her powers to reunite the two with a "rendezvous" from their past.

WHICH WITCH IS WHICH?: Endora zaps herself into Samantha's twin, so Samantha can keep to her busy schedule. While posing as Samantha, Endora meets a handsome author and they go out on several dates. The Author turns out to be a friend of Darrins and when Darrin brings him home to meet the real Samantha, hilarious results follow as Endora appears once again as Samantha's double and they tell the Author she's Samantha's twin sister!

Last night I watched Season 2

Samantha and Darrin meet Gladys' violinist brother Louis. Because of an embarrassing moment when he was a child (His pants fell down while playing), Louis is scarred for life and refuses to pick up another violin. Samantha wants him to play again, but he refuses when she signs him up to do a show for the hospital. He tries anything and everything to keep from playing a violin, even trying to leave town. Samantha shows him that everyone gets embarrassed at some part in their lives, but that doesn't mean that he should stop living and doing what he likes to do. Louis does a great job and ends up on TV. History does repeat itself when his pants fall down while playing the violin again!

I just put in "Samantha meets the Folks" from season 1, because I love Aunt Clara, and this is a very touching episode. How sad was it when Darrin tried to talk to her about her interferrence, and then she turned to her bag and said "we must go." I love when she just casually told Phyllis and Frank that she was a witch.

"Samantha's Hot Bed Warmer" from season 7

A few months ago, I showed a friend "Charlie Harper, Winner" from season 3, because that's the name of the main character of his favorite current sitcom (Two and a Half Men). A couple interesting notes about that ep. Charlie Harper was played by an actor named Angus Duncan, while Two and a Half Men has an actor named Angus T. Jones ("Jake Harper"). Angus Duncan also had a footnote in sitcom history as being the man who played Mary Richards' ex-fiancee in the pilot ep of Mary Tyler Moore. Joanna Moore, who played Charlie Harper's wife in this ep, was Tatum O'Neal's mother.

The Dancing Bear Season: 2
Endora and Phyllis, Darrin's mom, are competing against each other again. They each give Tabitha the same exact bear, but Endora gives her bear the power to "shake its booty". The bear discos its way into Tabitha's heart and Frank gets the idea to market the dancing bear. Using some fast talking, Samantha dissuades a toymaker to produce bears for a next Christmas rush and Tabitha gets to keep the one-of-a-kind toy to herself.

Double Tate
Darrin unknowingly gets three Birthday wishes from Endora. He blows the first two on fast elevators and bikini-clad girls, and he wishes that he was Larry for a day. He gets his wish and a whole lot of misunderstanding begins between Louise and the real Larry!

The Horse's Mouth
A race horse named Dalleyrand runs away from its owner and into the Stephens' yard. Samantha communicates with the horse by turning her into a woman. Darrin objects, but Samantha tells him that it is a special opportunity to really know what a horse's life is like in the races.

Be it Ever So Mortgaged

Darrin is buying a new house and wants Samantha to check it out. Samantha and Endora go to 1164 Morning Glory Circle and have a lot of fun rearranging the place with magic. Of course, they also have new neighbors, nosy Gladys Kravitz and her do-nothing husband Abner Kravitz. Gladys knows that she sees something funny going on at the Stephens' new house, but Abner doesn't believe her.

Be it Ever So Mortgaged

Darrin is buying a new house and wants Samantha to check it out. Samantha and Endora go to 1164 Morning Glory Circle and have a lot of fun rearranging the place with magic. that episode also contains a mistake; in one scene as Mrs. Kravitz is passing a window, in it you can see a wooden ladder leaning against something.

I just put in "Samantha meets the Folks" from season 1, because I love Aunt Clara, and this is a very touching episode. This is one of my favorite episodes, it makes me choke up every time. It showed how much she loved Samantha and was willing to do anything for her.

Ho Ho, the Clown Season: 3

Hoho The Clown Samantha and Endora take Tabitha to a taping of Ho Ho, the Clown, where Darrin's newest client, Solow Toys, is the sponsor. Because Tabitha is related to Darrin, she is prohibited from the contests. Endora does something about that and makes Ho Ho fall in love with Tabitha and gives her all the prizes. This jeopardizes both Darrin's job and causes the show to be cancelled if they don't do something soon. Samantha comes up with a terrific plan: Tabitha's appearance on the show was a publicity stint for a new Tabitha doll.

Art for Sam's Sake
Samantha is doing a painting for an art gallery contest, and Endora doesn't think it is up to snuff. So she takes it upon herself to change the painting so Sam can win. And Sam does win, but she doesn't want the prize because of what her mother did.

I Remember You...Sometimes
Endora gives Darrin an outstanding memory by hexing his watch, but Darrin learns the hard way that sometimes it is better to forgive and forget.

"If They Never Met" (season4) -where Endora shows Sam (and Us) what life would have been like if Sam and Darrin had never met.

Darrin must really have loved Sam, going through everything he had to with Endora. :lol:

Super Car Season: 3

The Super Car - Full Episode Darrin sees an excellent car in a magazine and wishes he had one just like it. Endora pops one up for him, not knowing that the car she gave him was a top secret car from Detroit. Not only does Darrin love the car, his new client Mr. Sheldrake, loves it too. As Sheldrake takes a test drive, Endora returns the car to Detroit -- with Sheldrake in it!

Endora Moves in For a Spell Endora
Uncle Arthur have a falling out over who is to live in a house across the street. Gladys wants to find out about the disappearing and reappearing house, much to Sam and Darrin's dismay!

Twitch or Treat
While Endora throws a Halloween party, she and Uncle Arthur are still clashing over the house across the street, and Gladys is still dumbfounded.

Dangerous Diaper Dan A mysterious man named Diaper Dan has bugged the Stephens' household to steal advertising ideas from Darrin for a rival advertising company. No one finds this out until Samantha and Darrin gets into an argument. Dan hears all this and has flowers delivered to the house. After Samantha finds out that the flowers were delivered by Dan, she discovers the leak and the bug! Sam and Endora both give Dan a hard time.

A Very Informal Dress

Darrin is warned by Sam not to kiss a beautiful client named Terry Warbell. There is a good reason: she is a magic crone who steals the youth of people that she kisses. Of course, Darrin doesn't believe Samantha, but he sees for himself when Terry turns into the old hag.

Poor Darrin. Due to Endora's spell, everyone hates him. When Darrin's job is on the line, Samantha wants Endora to remove the spell.

Bewitched, Bothered and Infuriated
Aunt Clara's morning paper says that Larry Tate breaks his leg while on a honeymoon with Louise. Samantha and Darrin rush to his honeymoon spot and try to protect Larry, who tells them to leave him and Louise alone. Then they find out that he broke his leg ten years ago and they are on their second honeymoon!

Bewitched, Bothered and Infuriated

That episode is so funny the way Darrin kept irritating Larry. I still laugh whenever I watch that one. :)

When Darrin makes Samantha return a coat, Endora puts a spell on him to turn him into a penny-pinching Scrooge. Darrin sees the error of his ways after a bombed-out dinner party with a cheap client, Mr. Bigelow.

Long Live the Queen - When Tichiba, the Queen of the Witches, decides to abdicate the throne, she elects Samantha as her successor.

Mother-in-Law of the Year.

Endora presents an idea for a great campaign for the Bobbins Bon Bons account, and Bobbins takes a liking to her. He insists that she promote her idea on a TV show, which she refuses due to a ski date. So Samantha poses as Endora, but the deception is short-lived when the real Endora appears, magically, on live TV. Because of the special effects, Bobbins is sold on the idea.

Long Live the Queen
Year four of the "witch-com" starts with a bang when Samantha discovers that she's the chosen one to become the Queen of the Witches. After a series of happenings in the house, where Samantha holds court after midnight, Darrin escapes to the safety and sanity of his favorite bar.

Toys in Babeland
Endora babysits Tabitha, but has to leave for a party. She finds a perfect babysitter -- in a toy that she brings to life! Of course, Tabitha copies Endora's spell and brings all of her toys to life. Big mistake!

Business, Italian Style
To get in good graces with an Italian client, Darrin must learn how to speak Italian. Endora, anxious for Samantha to travel Europe again, gives Darrin a perfect Italian tongue. Her spell, however, is too strong, and "Dino" no longer understands English. His new clients begin to think that Darrin is mocking them, and Samantha interrupts Endora's bath and demands she remove the spell.

Double, Double, Toil and Trouble
Endora is fed up. Samantha's loyalty to her marriage is keeping her from her responsibilities as Queen of the Witches. While Samantha is out, Endora calls Serena to impersonate Sam and make a shambles of their marriage. Darrin finally realizes that it is Serena, and plans on turning the tables--right as the real Samantha arrives home home.

Recently I dubbed some daytime rerun prints to DVD, so those would be it. Prior to that, the Christmas episodes. I make a point of watching them every December.

The ones I enjoy watching most are the ones I've got from trades over the years which feature original sponsor opening titles and commercials. It's really disappointing Sony didn't include any of that on the DVDs. Shame on them!

Samantha Goes South for a Spell

Because of Serena's foolishness, Samantha is sent back in time by a jealous witch named Brunhilda, who happened to be Serena's boyfriend's wife. In 1868 New Orleans, Samantha is taken in by a maid named Aunt Jenny, and her owner, Rance Butler, falls for her. Now it is up to Darrin to get her back from the Southern gentleman.

Darrin, Gone and Forgotten
Once upon a time, Endora made a deal with another witch Carlotta that Samantha will marry her son Juke, but Samantha hasn't lived up to her part of the deal. Now Carlotta and Juke are back and Carlotta will stop at nothing to give Juke what he wants. She makes Darrin disappear and never brings him back until Samantha agrees to marry Juke. Samantha tells Juke to finally stand up to his mother and tell her off.

It's So Nice to Have a Spouse Around the House
Serena is involved again. This time, Darrin takes her to the honeymoon spot where he and Samantha went. Samantha is at a Witches Council meeting and doesn't know what is going on. Darrin gets intimate with Serena, thinking that she is Samantha, and she tells him to back off. Then Tabitha is called to solve the puzzle.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
Endora turns Darrin into the most self-centered, conceited person on earth. He thinks that this will make him lose an account with a new client, but Samantha saves the day when she tells the client that they should zero in on the youth market.

Thats one of my favorite episodes from the first season. The highlight is watching what a slezeball Larry was.

To Go Or Not To Go, That Is The Question (part 1)
Samantha gets a call from the High Priestess of Witches, Hepzibah, to attend a meeting in Salem, Massachusetts, thus beginning the Stephens' first serial vacation. When Samantha doesn't answer, the Priestess herself appears in the Stephens' home. Hepzibah does not approve of Samantha's marriage to Darrin and decides to break it. She then changes her mind and observes Sam and Darrin's marriage, for if she doesn't like it

Salem, Here We Come (part 2)
Samantha and Darrin are under close supervision by Hepzibah. How is it possible for a witch and a mortal to be married and happy at the same time. Hepzibah then meets a client of Darrin's named Ernest Hitchcock and, thanks to Samantha, Hitchcock falls for the Priestess. The Priestess then rules out that the witch/mortal marriage is a great thing after all when she invites Sam and Darrin to go to Salem.

The Salem Saga (part 1)
In the very first day of their Salem vacation, Darrin and Samantha gets into serious trouble. While taking a tour of the House of the Seven Gables, a magic bedwarmer follows Samantha. The bedwarmer even follows them to their hotel room and the tour guide calls the police because she thinks that the Stephens stole the bedwarmer. Darrin gets taken to jail, leaving Samantha to get him out and to get to the bottom of this bed warmer mess.....

While Darrin sits in jail, Samantha finds out that the bedwarmer is actually a warlock trapped by one of the witches. Sure enough, the culprit is Serena. Samantha sends Serena back in time to get the spell used to transform the warlock in the first place. With one situation out of the way, Samantha faces another one- getting Darrin cleared of a crime he did not commit.

Darrin On A Pedestal
Darrin and Samantha are sightseeing in Gloucester one day when Sam is called away for a special witches' meeting. Sam suggests that Serena accompany him, which turns out to be a great mistake when they comes across the Fisherman's Memorial statue. To find out more about the statue, Serena blinks him to life and in turn, replaces the statue with Darrin! Larry and a new client, Mr. Barrows, decide to meet Darrin and Samantha does all that she can to get Darrin out of a very preposterous situation.

Samantha's Bad Day In Salem
Another boyfriend of Samantha is still chasing her. The boyfriend, Waldo, wants Samantha so badly that he blinks up his own Samantha and take her around town. Larry sees Waldo and his Samantha together and thinks that the Stephens are breaking up. Darrin finds out from Larry and he confronts Waldo, only to be turned into a crow. The real Samantha finds out as well and she demands that Waldo turn Darrin back. Then they explain to Larry that Serena was with Waldo at the time that he seen them.

Darrin on a Pedastal. I really like this episode for the scenery of the Mass. coast line. I have a copy of this episode with original commercials and sponsor opening titles.

I really think by season 7 the show wasn't as good as it had been, but the Salem episodes, and Christmas episode "Sisters at Heart" are highlights.

Samantha and the Troll
Samantha goes away for a 10,000-zap checkup and Serena takes over for her at home. All trouble ensues when she weasels her way into Darrin's life when he is trying to impress another serious client. Samantha comes home to witness Serena acting up and straightens things out. All is well, until one of Tabitha's toys, a troll, comes to life and starts embarrassing Darrin in front of his prospective client!

This Little Piggie
Endora says that Darrin is pig-headed and proves that by blinking a pig's head on his body! This is a catastrophe for Darrin, but turns out to be a great ad campaign for his new client.

Mixed Doubles
Samantha wakes up one morning to find herself in Larry's bed and Lousie in Darrin's! Sam tries to find out what is going on here when Larry knows her as Louise and Darrin knows Louise as Samantha. Dr. Bombay is called and it seems that Sam was so worried about Louise, they magically got switched.

Money Happy Returns
Endora accuses Darrin for being too cheap when she notices Tabitha and Adam playing in a wading pool when they should have a real pool. She blinks one up, and Darrin takes an unnecessary swim! Darrin warns Samantha to keep Endora at bay. Than, he finds a bag full of money- $100,000 to be exact! Darrin thinks Endora whipped up the cash, but it really belongs to a thug who wants his loot back.

And Something Makes Three

Larry and Louise Tate have been married for sixteen years and have no children. Louise asks Samantha to go with her to an obstetrician as tests have shown she is going to be a mother. Louise tells Samantha she is afraid to tell Larry since she believes he hates children. Larry, visiting his dentist at the medical center, sees Louise and Samantha enter the obstetrician's office. Thinking Samantha is going to have a baby, he tells Darrin, but cautions him not to say anything until Samantha tells him. In a reverie, Darrin visualizes his children as little witches. He comes to with a sinking feeling. Samantha invites the Tates to dinner. Both Larry and Darrin hover over Samantha, warning her not to exert herself. Louise is all but forgotten, but makes several unsuccessful attempts to tell Larry that he is to be a father. Finally, Samantha tells Larry. He is overjoyed. Although Darrin doesn't tell Samantha about his reverie, he is reassured when she tells him she hopes they have a child who looks just like him.

Samantha Meets the Folks

Darrin's parents pay their first visit to the Stephens home. Darrin's mother, Phyllis, hopes to find that his wife is a poor housekeeper. Soon after, Samantha's Aunt Clara comes down the chimney for an unexpected visit. Darrin is worried about the kind of impression Aunt Clara will make on his parents, but agrees with Samantha that they must make Aunt Clara feel welcome. Determined to help Samantha make a hit with her in-laws, Aunt Clara uses her witchcraft to whip up a feast for dinner. Thinking that Samantha has done the cooking, Phyllis becomes quite upset. Although Samantha warns him to be tactful, Darrin makes Aunt Clara feel she is not wanted. After Aunt Clara's departure, Samantha gets into an argument with Darrin, during which Phyllis learns Aunt Clara cooked the dinner. When Samantha admits she is not a good housekeeper, Phyllis, who felt she was being pushed aside, knows she is going to love her daughter-in-law. Darrin persuades Aunt Clara to return and the evening ends happily for all.

I forgot the name of the episode but its from season 5 where Endora puts a spell on Darrin to make him vain. It was mentioned in another thread so I had to re watch it, and its freaking hilarious. Dick York in that gold suit and sideburns, all I can say is Go Elvis.:D

I forgot the name of the episode but its from season 5 where Endora puts a spell on Darrin to make him vain. It was mentioned in another thread so I had to re watch it, and its freaking hilarious. Dick York in that gold suit and sideburns, all I can say is Go Elvis.:D

It is episode # 146 "Mirror, Mirror on the Wall" seen on Nov.7th,1968 from Season 5.

It is Brilliant & one of the flat out funniest episodes ever on Bewitched, it may well have been Dick York's best performance on Bewitched, except maybe for
# 69 "Divided he falls" from Season 2.

Samantha, Darrin, Endora and Dr. Bombay are all caught in a magical vapor lock around the house due to Samantha's non-use of powers.

This is definitely the best episode in the later seasons.

Aunt Clara wants to go back to the age of Queen Victoria, but ends up bringing Queen Victoria to the twentieth century. Alarmed by the casual nature of modern behavior, Queen Victoria threatens to set some decrees. Upon discovering that Samantha and Clara are witches, Victoria is verbally abusive. An angered Aunt Clara remembers how to send Queen Victoria back to her own time.

Darrin is warned by Sam not to kiss a beautiful client named Terry Warbell. There is a good reason: she is a magic crone who steals the youth of poeple that she kisses. Of course, Darrin doesn't believe Samantha, but he sees for himself when Terry turns into the old hag.

I seen Season 4 Disc 3 To Twitch Or Not To Twitch. Darrin was a jerk in this episode and hypcritical. He should have just clarified when and when not to use witchcraft in the very beginning for their relationship.

Darrin's old college rival, Charlie Harper, has a very successful life and wife Daphne loves to brag about it--their castle has a moat! During a weekend visit to the Harper's latest home, Samantha unintentionally upstages Daphne, creating tension between the two. Finally, Samantha plays Daphne's game, and zaps a loaded jewelry case and a mink coat (made of identical twin mink pelts.) Darrin's ego is hurt. How can he compete with Samantha's witchcraft? To make amends, Samantha gives the coat to Daphne after she insists that the Stephens sell it to her. Samantha reassures Darrin she could zap up mink coats all day long, but she could never zap up another Darrin Stephens.

This was a good episode i enjoyed it :) :rainbow: :rainbow1:

Wow. when you think about it, Liz was pretty much on her own in that episode since she was playing both Samantha and Serena, and Mable (Mrs. Stephens) was a cat in most of the episode, and no Darrin, Endora, Larry and Tabitha! :lol:

Needless to say Liz should have won at least 3 times if not more.
I mean Hope Lange was only a so so actress in the Ghost of Mrs. Muir & Lucy was over the hill by then, it was all politics.

I have the Emmy footage where MTM won & we see Liz & the other nominies, i think it was 1967.

The nomination meant much more in Liz's day as they were made by all of your peers, then a small so called select group of about half a dozen crony's & hacks choose the winner.

Many of them hated Liz just because they hated her Father as he was a Conservative Republican & they were all Liberal Democrats, so they used her to get back at him.

Hollywood can be such a hate filled backstabbing grudge holding place.

Plus Liz didn't suck up to the powers to be so to speak, perhaps on many levels ;), she had no interest in the Hollywood Party Power making scene.

Yes that is right, both Marion Lorne and Alice Pierce received emmys posthumously, Bill Asher also won an Emmy as did the show in 1971 when it won the Governors award for #213 "Sisters at Heart"

I believe their were 21 nominations for Bewitched.

I just watched season 2 episode 1 and 2. I like the one where Darrin is turned into a chimp.

I think the last episode I watched was one of the very late ones. Darrin has a shoe manufacturer for a client and Sam can't stay on the ground, floating upward in defiance of gravity.

Ye that is "Samantha's is Earthbound" episode #244 from season 8 seen on January.15th, 1972, loved Samantha's Grecian Gown as she tried to float like a butterfly & sting like a bee her way out of her magical predicament.

Thats one of my favorite episodes of the whole series. Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart are so awesome. Sadly they are way overlooked because they are both so talented.

Are Boyce and Hart real performers? I heard they wrote songs for the Monkees but hadn't heard much other than that about them. So many performers back then had that funky 60s sound with the high pitched electric guitars that you hear when Serena "plays the record" in the living room. I guess they were actual song writers though.

It's funny hearing their manager telling Serena that they were booked through 1976. :lol:

Boyce & Hart released several albums on A&M as performers back in the late 60s/early 70s, one of which included "I'll Blow You a Kiss in the Wind". The hits they wrote for the Monkees were the theme song and "Last Train to Clarksville", among others. Sadly, Tommy Boyce killed himself in 1994. Bobby Hart was nominated for an Oscar in 1983 for Best Song ("Over You" from Tender Mercies"), which he lost to Giorgio Moroder, Keith Forsey and Irene Cara ("Flashdance...What a Feeling" from Flashdance).

Boyce & Hart are amazing. They did three LP's in the 1960's and they are so worth getting. They had a big hit in 1968 with "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight" which may or not get play on oldies radio. Anyhow I cant reccomend them enough.

"Samantha Loses Her Voice" from season 5. It's hysterical watching Sam speaking with Darrin's voice and vice versa. :lol:

I just got seasons 7 & 8 from Walmart, sold together. I just finished watching the 8-part Salem Saga. These are the best episodes from the Dick Sargent seasons. I like the on-location scenes.

When Samantha informs her mother that both she and Darrin will be going to Salem, the news also reaches Hepzibah, the High Priestess of all Witches, who comes to observe the marriage and decide whether to dissolve it. Jane Connell guest stars.

Aunt Clara visits and believes her powers have finally blown a fuse, but in truth, Tabitha is the culprit. Samantha sends Aunt Clara home. Without a baby sitter, the Stephens invite the Tates over to their house. Darrin is convinced the floating objects are the result of Clara's power failure until he pratically catches Tabitha in the act. The Stephens decide to make Larry believe he's had too much to drink in hopes he and Louise will leave before the night is a complete disaster.

Twitch or Treat

In the show's third Halloween episode, Endora zaps her house from the previous episode back to the vacant lot. Darrin is furious, and so agrees to allow the party to be held at his house if she undoes the spell. Uncle Arthur insists on being invited to the party, and is joined by many mysterious guests including Boris his feline companion, and Willie Mays. Gladys Kravitz again has the authorities investigate the strange goings on.

Dangerous Diaper Dan

A mysterious man named Diaper Dan has bugged the Stephens' household to steal advertising ideas from Darrin for a rival advertising company. No one finds this out until Samantha and Darrin gets into an argument. Dan hears all this and has flowers delivered to the house. After Samantha finds out that the flowers were delivered by Dan, she discovers the leak and the bug! Sam and Endora both give Dan a hard time.
