View Full Version : Something's very wrong in baseball when the Brewers start out 4-1 James 04-05-2008, 05:00 PM What's going on??? PARIS HILTON has more fans than these jokers!!! LOL Brian Damage 04-05-2008, 05:05 PM What does fan base have to do with anything? The Brewers have Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Ben Sheets and Tony Gywnn Jr. They are young and extremely talented. James 04-05-2008, 05:34 PM What does fan base have to do with anything? The Brewers have Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Ben Sheets and Tony Gywnn Jr. They are young and extremely talented. Sure they do, but will they be there next year or will they bolt for greener pastures, perhaps in bigger media markets like in New York or Los Angeles ... or better yet just south of there on I-94? I can't believe these people would want to associate themselves with the "Budmen." Brian Damage 04-05-2008, 06:35 PM I haven't heard anything about them moving. Mr. Television 04-05-2008, 06:46 PM Losing will cause you to lose fans. I remember in 1982 when they were in the WS they had plenty of fans. They were America's darlings. James 07-20-2008, 03:45 PM Now the BOO HOO CREW is more than 10 games over .500 with the season more than half over. What happened??? Brian Damage 07-20-2008, 03:50 PM Now the BOO HOO CREW is more than 10 games over .500 with the season more than half over. What happened??? Easy, talent...Ben Sheets and C.C. Sabathia for starters. Pavan 07-20-2008, 05:03 PM James, why are you so surprised? They were decent last year, too. Look at the players they have this year not their overall history. They have a shot of winning the division. They have a great offense, too, in addition to their top starters like Sheets and Sabathia. They're certainly better than the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds ;) James 07-20-2008, 06:12 PM James, why are you so surprised? They were decent last year, too. Look at the players they have this year not their overall history. Truth be told, the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals used to have lots of talent but stink up the league in the 1990s. (However, their owner, Mike Brown, didn't become a failed commissioner. Go figure.) catlover79 07-20-2008, 06:14 PM They have CC now - maybe he's their good luck charm. :(  theshark8777 07-20-2008, 08:03 PM The Marlins won the world series, and had no fans lol. Sounds like you have a beef with Selig. Can't blame you there. Seinatra 07-24-2008, 02:10 PM Sure they do, but will they be there next year or will they bolt for greener pastures, perhaps in bigger media markets like in New York or Los Angeles ... or better yet just south of there on I-94? I can't believe these people would want to associate themselves with the "Budmen." They already play south of I-94 James, so what is your point? They just built a new staduim and are on track to draw 3 million fans this year, they are about as likely to move as you are out of your mom's basement... Wreckless 07-24-2008, 02:12 PM What does fan base have to do with anything? The Brewers have Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Ben Sheets and Tony Gywnn Jr. They are young and extremely talented. True, but Tony Gwynn Jr.? No, he has been in the minors the past 2 years. It's like saying Matt Laporta did a lot for them last year, when he didnt even play, same for Gwynn Jr. He's just stuntin like his daddy, or tryin to follow in his footsteps   . He is a good player though. Wreckless 07-24-2008, 02:14 PM The Marlins won the world series, and had no fans lol. Sounds like you have a beef with Selig. Can't blame you there. Inconsistency- The Marlins never have any fans    . True though. James 07-25-2008, 12:54 AM They already play south of I-94 James, so what is your point? By "south of there on I-94" I meant taking it further south, into Illinois. You know, where the Cubs play! Seinatra 07-26-2008, 11:17 PM By "south of there on I-94" I meant taking it further south, into Illinois. You know, where the Cubs play! Ok, that makes sense. How many Chicagoans would go to watch the Brewers play? Well if the Cubs keep losing, maybe a lot! ;) theshark8777 07-27-2008, 01:18 PM Arent the Cubs leading their division?? Brian Damage 07-27-2008, 01:55 PM Arent the Cubs leading their division?? I think the Cubs and Brewers are tied for first. James 07-27-2008, 06:28 PM I think the Cubs and Brewers are tied for first. They were, Brian. Today (Sunday) the Cubs won over Florida while the Brewers lost to Houston. Cubs by one game! Seinatra 08-01-2008, 02:40 PM Well the Brewers really sucked during thier 4 game homestand with the Cubs, got swept and only 1 of the games was close. Now they are 5 back. You may have been right James... |
