I heard that there's a song called "Maryann" by an Australian band named Brill. It was out in the 1990's, I believe. I have tried to locate this song but have not been able to--even the lyrics would be ok. Can anyone help? We're dealing with low tech here--I'm one of those 5 people who have no ipod or MP3 player, if that has any bearing on it. Thanks.

Hey Im! I think I've heard of this, but like you I've never actually listened to it. However, I'll get on the case. I've also come across the band "MaryAnn and the Professor" but apparently they have no relation to the show. (thank goodness if you know what I mean. Lol)

Sorry I haven't replied to any of your other threads. I've been extremely busy with the play I'm in. But I really want to reply!

here's what the official GI site has to say about it. If the computer you're on has real player, you can listen to it or watch the video. The song is fairly short, but it's cute and I liked it. I'll try to get the lyrics.

Thanks, Mrs. GH. And congratulations on your play. (It's not "A Pyramid for Two," is it?
I know it's not "My Friends in the Forest). Good luck with that!!! The original fan club excerpt of the song is about 2 seconds long--where did you see the video? Yes, I've heard of the band "The Professor and Maryann." I think the name comes from his being an actual professor and the name is obviously a play on the names (it must be the names only--we know there is no such thing in the show as "the professor and maryann," although some would argue). There is also a band called "Gilligan Loves Maryann" that have recently changed their name to "Sterling Fletcher," I believe. They have info about this group online--they've played alot for college crowds and on the beach scene.
