Baby Dies After Left In Hot Car

MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- A 8-month-old girl died after police said she was left in a hot car by her 17-year-old mother and 26-year-old father.

A neighbor found the girl unconscious in a car Wednesday night outside the family's home on Northwest 4th Avenue in Marion County.

The parents told police that they thought the other had taken the girl out of the car seat.

It was at last two hours before they realized the child was missing.

Local 6 reported that the parents could be charged in the case.

An autopsy will be performed Thursday.

They each thought the other took out the baby? Ok, so why was it when they were inside their home did it not dawn on them where the baby was FOR TWO FRIGGIN HOURS???? I know where my kids were in my home. When they were that age, they either were in their crib OR IN MY PRESENCE. :mad: Stupid people. Sorry, I don't get the whole, "I forgot abt my baby" stupid syndrome. :rolleyes:

ohno: so they pretty much left the child in the car & forgot about her? oy freakin' vey. how annoying. how can you forget about YOUR CHILD? and instead of assuming the other had it, why didn't they talk to each other & realize that wasn't the case? goodness gracious. i hope she never has kids again.
