MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- A 8-month-old girl died after police said she was left in a hot car by her 17-year-old mother and 26-year-old father.
A neighbor found the girl unconscious in a car Wednesday night outside the family's home on Northwest 4th Avenue in Marion County.
The parents told police that they thought the other had taken the girl out of the car seat.
It was at last two hours before they realized the child was missing.
Local 6 reported that the parents could be charged in the case.
An autopsy will be performed Thursday.
