Good question. I can't think of any offhand that were solved.

I believe the segment about Roger Rojas and the golden Buddha was updated saying that he had died of a heart attack(?) and his court case against Marcos was dissolved at that point. I don't believe the Buddha was ever recovered though.

Stack promised an update on the Victorio Peak case after archaeologists completed a survey of the land, but I don't think the update ever came (I've never seen it).

Victorio Peak is in New Mexico, btw. I think the government beat you to the punch about 40 years ago.

I think that Victorio Peak is now part of the White Sands Missile Range - trespass at your own risk :D

Interesting factoid there, assuming it is true. It seems that a few of these "buried treasure" locales are on what is now government controlled land. I know this is the case in the alleged "Lost Dutchman Mine" story and possibly on a couple of other stories UM covered aside from the aforementioned Victorio Peak; Plumber's Gold, and the Lost Adam's Diggings (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not a "Treasure" segment fan).

I would think that fact alone would take a lot of the fun out of finding the treasures. Who would want to find the Lost Dutchman Mine now? All that gold would have to be turned over, in full, to Uncle Sam. This is an interesting position for the government to be in. I'm sure it doesn't acknowledge or even have an opinion on the existence of some of these treasures, yet retains full ownership of them in the event that they do turn out to be legitimate.

So how many people have been killed looking for the Lost Dutchman Mine?

Last weeks episode of "Disappeared" on ID Discovery told a recent tale of Jesse Capen, who went on search for the mine. Interesting story, and after it aired (in true UM fashion) there was an update, here:

more info online as well if you search.
