View Full Version : Breaking the Dishes
In the episode with Telly, they all start throwing the dishes on the floor at the end of the show. It's hard to believe they'd do that, knowing they'd have to turn around & clean up the mess. Telly says he'll pay for the damages but he doesn't offer to help clean up.

GARFIELDKOOL 03-30-2008, 07:30 PM Mel didn't deserve that. He was taken advantage of by many and his waitresses undermined him.
Ireneparalegal 03-30-2008, 09:38 PM I see Kool the way Mel was taken advantaged of by those around him really bothered you huh?
Poor Mel. He couldn't get ahead sometimes. And when he tried, he was made to feel guilty. I swear, I can't help but think of James Evans when I think of the times that Mel could have some money to splurge on, but Noooooooooo, Alice (just like Florida Evans) had to make Mel feel terrible for wanting to get ahead a little.

Still mad I missed this episode, it was stated how obvious the tension was between Polly Holiday and Lind Lavin but i guess i will never get to see it now that ION dopped it.
Scoobiedoo30 03-31-2008, 01:52 PM I also missed that episode as well.

Yup. Mel was my boy and favorite character on the show. He was really a nice guy and those bitches (except Flo and Belle) took advantage of him. He may have yelled at times, but he was really nice and cool. I wouldn't mind having a boss like Mel.

Why didn't the GIRLS try to do the cooking, if they were so quick to put down Mel's food? Or did I miss that episode??

The name of the show should have been Mel's Diner!
And the theme song...."I used to be thin, I used to have hair. Funniest thing, the saddest part is I don't know where! Chewing my staff out for nothing was my favorite sport. I had to get out and start enjoying food, cuz life's too short. There's a new chef in town and he's cooking good! There's a fresh dill pickle in the neighborhood. There's a new chef in town, with his own sassy style. You may just be passing though, but if things work out, you're gonna stay......awhile.......with lots of gaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssss"
