View Full Version : Just tuned into this show
waichingliu81 03-29-2008, 07:58 AM thanks to the video clips on you tube, i was able to see a few episodes of this show just to see what it was like, and plus as i was a fan of ugly betty, i was eager to see judith light when she was younger of course, and playing a different role to that of claire meade in ugly betty, this time as angela. plus, she looked fabulous with the blonde hair and 80s clothes.
i was born an 80s child and didn't watch much of the episodes back then, well, the first season was shown in england, but as i watched them on you tube recently
i thought who's the boss was great; really funny and i loved the chemistry between tony and angela. it was a great idea hooking them up as friends turned lovers. both tony and judith were convincing as the would-be couple. plus, they looked cute too :)
Kristen 03-30-2008, 06:13 PM Yeah, I've been downloading eps. off YouTube lately. I didn't realize how many I've missed until now! Of course, I still wish Sony would release the rest of the series on DVD, but for now I'll take what I can get. :D I think pretty much the whole series is on there.

well, i just wished that who's the boss? would get an official dvd release in the UK, alongside diff'rent strokes and the jeffersons, just so i can see those shows in full
tiff7 03-31-2008, 05:02 PM you're very right about WTB/Tony & Angela. They are one of the best couples ever on tv.

of course, they had that love/hate relationship earlier on, and angela was at first uptight and a bit snobbish, but as the series progressed, she was more open, caring and loving, especially towards tony and so it wasn't long until they fell in love with each other. which was and still is a great thing indeed
JethroSimpson 04-07-2008, 01:31 PM Wow another WTB fan from the UK!
I've been enjoying watching eps on youtube too since I had never seen any episodes beyond season 4. Such a shame there are no official releases as the sound on some of the youtube eps is quite ruff.

hi jethro  ! good to know that there is another UK-based user of this site. anyhow, i think that this show needs to be released in the UK on dvd. i remembered they used to show it on ITV back when i was younger, although i didn't take much notice of it at the time. but when i saw a couple of episodes on you tube, i thought it was really good, especially as i am not a big fan of 'family' sitcoms myself

Yes sadly it is unlikely to ever get a UK release because most people wouldn't remember it over here, I think only some ITV regions showed it. Have you seen The Upper Hand- the British version with the same scripts? Its on Paramount Comedy 2 every weekday at the moment.
