It's certainly a disappointment, especially considering what's replacing it. I love O'Hurley on Feud but in many places that can easily be found elsewhere.

There are also a few episodes I missed that I would have liked to have seen.

what is The Diffrence of being removed and Hiatus

Ireneparalegal
03-27-2008, 02:23 PM
Hiatus means the show is removed TEMPORARILY. According To Jim was on hiatus for a few months and then it returned with new episodes. A show that is removed is CANCELLED and won't return. Since ION airs old shows, it doesn't cancel shows, but simply removes them from their schedule. ION has no hiatus. Only networks do hiatus.

so Alice will not be returning to the schedule

That is so sad. Well, hope either another TV station picks up that show or it comes out on DVD (The season sets, that is). I just hope it won't be When Donkeys Fly as Flo says and that it's not a Dream On as Jolene would say. But at least it'll mean more time for us. Especially since Diff'rent Strokes is now on BET back to back. Maybe if another station picks up Alice, the commercial breaks won't be as crazy as ION, and the CCing won't look like it's been done by some kindergartener. LOLLLLLLLL!

I would like TV LAND to pick up the show
 Solomon, is that you???

Surely you are kidding. TVland is getting away from sitcoms, classic shows and sticking with the usual fare as Andy Griffith, until there are more NEW shows, movies, reality programming and there are only a few hours of classic shows.

Nope. It's off the ION line-up for good, I'm afraid. At least for right now unless ION had lost the rights to Alice.

I'm hoping ME-TV in Chicago picks it up. They don't air "butchered" versions of shows.

They have the rights to Warner shows, they could easily start the series over and air it again if they wanted to.

Well, maybe not "butchered" like ION, but I don't believe they're in original format either. I believe they air the syndicated versions of episodes.

The one network that has been good about airing unedited or close to unedited versions of shows has been AmericanLife TV. (I so miss having that channel!)

I'm so annoyed that they are taking it off the air again. There are so many episodes that I haven't seen, especially from the first few seasons. I wish they would just start them over from the beginning.
