I have two that come to mind. Even though I know I have embarrased myself more than just twice.

1. When I was a freshman in high school I accidently walked into the girls' washroom instead of the boys'. This was such a freshman thing to do.

2. When I was a freshman in college I had a crush on this girl named Cathy and after a month of wanting to, I finally worked up enough courage to ask her out. She told me that she would rather eat a bowl of live snails than go out with me.

Good Lord! That's horrible. I can't believe anyone would ever say that.

Sadly, she did.

Count yourself lucky! Sounds like you dodged a very immature bullet with that one !

Probably true. Actually, I like to think that 12 years later she is really fat and ugly.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

Let's just say: NEVER tell your friends who you have a crush on! I'm sure the guy I liked in JH/HS must have thought I was a total ****** because I think at least 2 of my friends told him I liked him. OMG.

ew, that happened to me back in seventh grade. worse yet the guy confronted me in public about it, people i knew were there watching...ugh.

which reminds me, i also had the unflattering experience of getting dumped in public. we were hanging out and he just suddenly screamed to me that we were over while there were god knows how many people with us. i didn't even know whether he was being serious. i was hurt and worried and confused until that evening when he sent me a myspace message verifying that he meant it.

not sure why everyone needs to publicize my personal life...

Being barked at one day at college walking from class to the UC (University Center). The UC is where the cafeteria, bookstore, post office etc. were. Being told I was so ugly I deserved to be barked at. People were laughing at me. It was very embarrassing.

wtf? I swear, college people are the most immature creatures on Earth. Worse than JH kids. And HS kids. And grown men. And actual kids.

Should have asked that (guy I assume) if his gonorrhea was finally clearing up.

In the summer of 1994 when I was 17 years old, I was staying with my
family at a Comfort Inn in Nashville, Tennessee which had a guitar shaped
indoor/outdoor pool. We had some fun in that pool the second afternoon we
were there but when my mother told me to go back to our room to dry off
I misunderstood her and thought she said to take my swim trunks off, which
I did but my father quickly jerked them back on. I went back to our room and
when I couldn't find a towel to dry off with, I wrapped a short towel around
me, but it couldn't cover my whole body and my bare butt was exposed. Just
in the nick of time, my mother grabbed the towel around me, dragged me back
to our room and pointed out the towel that was waiting for me behind the
bathroom door. It was an embarrasing situation at that moment but has
since become a footnote in Scott family history dubbed "Nashville Naked".

ok I have a couple emberassing moments

One was when I was 5. We were staying at a hotel in Denver Colorado and we were going back to our hotel room. We were in the stairwell and my brother and I decided to race each other back to our room. I accidentally went to many floors up and I looked around and didn't see my brother anywhere and I thought to myself is this the floor our room is on. So I went down a couple levels and thought maybe my parents were still here but I couldn't find them. Just then a bunch of people were coming in and out of the stairwell so I just went and kind of huddled down in the corner of the stairwell hoping no one would snatch me. Finally one of the cleaning lady's from the hotel came and found me and took me back to my room and my mom was in the room crying cause she couldn't find me and I just felt so bad and embarrassed because it was my idea to race back to our room

Another embarrassing moment was when I was 6. This was during bible school. I really had to go to the bathroom but one of the students got up and asked if she could go to the restroom and since we only had one restroom I thought ok I will wait till they got back but just then a bunch of the boys thought it would be funny and get up and ask to go to the restroom so they could get out of class but the teacher didn’t find this amusing so she was like ok no more kids can go to the restroom until I say so. So then I really really had to go and finally I couldn’t hold it in and oops my seat got wet. I raised my hand and told the teacher what happened and she felt so bad for what she just said. The embarrassing part was the rest of the day I had to walk around in wet pants but it was sure funny since it happened right after our teacher forbid us to got to the bathroom.

I know, i'm thankful the college people (the very few) i hang around dont act like this. I'm beginning to think many people grow DOWN, lol. All these adults (college or not) acting like complete morons even at the age of 40 (see high school reunion on TV land). There are some kindergarteners i know that are more mature than some adults

My guy and I were sitting down in church when I decided to chew on some new mint gum I had just bought. I popped a piece in my mouth and it was the most horrible thing EVER! I made some face, and then made a comment about how I wish I had something to spit the gum into and throw it away (didn't feel like getting up in the middle of church). My guy looked at me and put his hand out...I'm not sure WHY but I thought he had something to put the gum into...so I took the gum out of my mouth and placed it in his hand...he looks down, looks at me, looks down and then gives me the strangest look ever.
Turns out he just wanted to hold my hand. He didn't even hear my comment about the gum. Poor lil sweetie thought I just randomly placed chewed gum in his hand
I was so embarrassed.
