NONE of my choices were pciked almost and Michael isnt from 1978! I guess it has to do with song rights. Miss You was a better choice for Michael.

Ramiele - i didnt think it was as bad as Randy thought either...it's hard not to compare it to Carrie's though. it was a little over-the-top in the middle but i thought it was PRETTY good

JoPol_wannabe
03-25-2008, 08:16 PM
Well Jason is no Sting but it wasn't bad. Like Randy and Paula said there wasn't anything that wowed me in that song

JoPol_wannabe
03-25-2008, 08:23 PM
Wow just like Randy said I feel the same way it was the best I've heard Syesha sing so far

EmoJoe
03-25-2008, 08:23 PM
Jason - meh, not that good. im getting bored of him.

Syesha - this was really good, though i still dont care for the whole "diva" thing. still, a really great vocal.

Cactus Jack
03-25-2008, 08:32 PM
Ramiele- was alright not that bad though
Syesha- awesome
Jason-not as great as expected
Chikeze-ehhh alright I liked my choice better even One Night In Bangkok

JoPol_wannabe
03-25-2008, 08:34 PM
Chikeze wasn't bad but it wasn't his best.
Brook singing a Police song this should be interesting

JoPol_wannabe

EmoJoe
03-25-2008, 09:00 PM
Michael - AWESOME! Michael's back! his best yet by far.

Carly - WAY too over-the-top. she could've done it really nicely with it because it's a perfect song for her (STFU Randy), but instead she tried to turn it into a hardcore rock song and screamed it. she started off good, but the middle and end were pretty bad.

aah come on David!!!

EmoJoe

EmoJoe

David C - this was good, but the "you're the most bold contestant ever" line pisses me off. all of his songs are covers that he didnt do.

LOL I love how David Cook takes songs and makes them UNRECOGNIZABLE. It's definitely not my thing, but I don't care that the judges are hyping him up. At least it takes the pressure off David A to be the best every single week.

EmoJoe
03-25-2008, 09:43 PM

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

My favorite performances of the night were David Cook, Michael, and Syesha. Carly...too much of an attempt to rock it up. I don't think she truly understands the song. Jason...dull, boring. I didn't get to see Chikezie or Brooke. Ramiele was a little dull, but I liked her performance. Kristy did good. David A. was okay. I actually liked the song, and his performance was actually good, but I think he's trying too hard to live up to the hype. Congratulations, fans, now he thinks he truly is the human form of the cure for the common cold. And it's making his performances lack.

I don't care how David C performs his songs. He does a damn good job, IMO, and he still keeps the meaning of the song in there. He still conveys the mood of the song. What Paula said about Carly, about how she makes her like songs she doesn't care for (btw, Paula, STFU, Total Eclipse is better than any of YOUR crap, and Bonnie Tyler can kick your tail!), I think I can say about David. I'm not a Michael Jackson fan nor a Beatles fan, and that's not to say I don't like "Billie Jean" or "Eleanor Rigby," but he made me reeeeally like those songs, and now, when I hear the original versions...it makes me like the original just a bit more too.

This is the first week so far this season that I think the girls actually outperformed most of the guys.

1. Michael- Definitely my favorite of the night.

2. David Cook- I agree with Simon and Randy. He is the most talented out of all of them. He or Michael should win based on talent.

3. Kristy Lee- I ranked her this high only because I can't diss someone who sings "God Bless the USA" :) She actually didn't sound too bad, although she still needs to do a lot more to impress me.

4. Brooke- I thought she played it a little safe last night. Still far better than her performance last week.

5. Syesha- I agree with the judges. That was her best performance.

6. Ramiele- She did a good job with that song although I think it would have been a better song for Brooke to sing.

7. Carly- I thought the judges were a little harsh on her. I didn't think she was all that bad.

8. Jason- He really needs to inject a little personality into his songs.

9. Chickeze- I like upbeat Chickeze a lot better than slow song Chickeze.

10. David A.- Sorry, but I agree with Simon. I was half expecting people in Disney costumes to jump out and sing along. I thought he was the worst of the night.

I think Jason, Chickeze, or Carly might be going. Of course, you never know with this show.

So I went to the rehearsal on Tuesday <3 and it was seriously such an amazing experience seeing it live. However, I think some people did do better there than on the actual show, particularly Ramiele, Jason, Brooke, Chikezie, and Carly. Everyone else did as well as they did on the taped portion.

Random insider info and stuff about my personal experience in LA:

- Everyone looks and sounds a lot better in person. :p
- We all sang Happy Birthday to Jason before the rehearsal started.
- Ryan thinks Carly's mom is hot. He made some random joke about her after Carly sang but you could totally tell he was diggin her.
- David Cook and Ramiele are definitely chums. At the end of the rehearsal when they were all together, they stood next to each other, talking and pointing to random people in the audience. Then David wrapped her in a bear hug and it was seriously one of the cutest things ever. :biglove:
- Michael Johns was in a car behind us when my friends drove around the studio before rehearsal.
- Constantine from season 4 passed by Johnny Rocket's where me and my friends had lunch before the rehearsal.
- Chikezie's parents passed me and a friend by outside the studio after the actual taping.

Ummmm, that's it. If you guys wanna know anymore, just ask. :)
