I noticed in the tv guide that Alice's last episode is playing April 3rd...they are skipping three episodes to get to that point. Can anyone confirm?
What is going to come in place of Alice?
Or are they going to restart the series and just skip those three?

I hadn't heard that, but yeah, I notice they are showing the last 2 episodes on Thursday 4-3-08. We can check tomorrow, usually the online guides go 2 weeks in advance, and it should show Monday April 7th.

I checked ION's website and there is nothing mentioning ALICE being removed or any shows being ADDED. I also checked their schedule and the grid goes up to April 6th, Sunday.

Good call. I just checked, and it doesn't show any info, except a generic show description. Of course, neither did Wayans Bros or Mama's Family, nor alot of local programming on other channels. Alot of them were blank.

on the ION site, Mama isn't even listed monday--it says "programming info unavailable"

they will show the listing for Mama Family when The Clock hit's 12:00 am

I am sorry to see Alice going on Hiatus

Knowing ION, it won't be on hiatus. Sadly, it may be gone for good. ION has such terrible scheduling.

That's why I gave up watching this show on ION. How can you be truly invested in a show, if it constantly gets bumped?

Not only that but they are NOT airing 3 episodes simply to get to the finale episode on Friday. How many episodes of ALICE were skipped? Too many if you ask me. :rolleyes:

It doesn't bother me either, but it's just really annoying that they start running a long running show, and only show it for a month. They did the same thing with Perfect Strangers. But they left Mama's Family on long enough to run thru it several times.

Well, at least we will get to see the last episode, although I've been taping them all, and I will not be happy that I will be missing three episodes.

If the programming guy loved Alice, he/she would not let the episodes be butchered the way they are, and aired with missing critical scenes.

"Mama's Family" has always been a ratings smash in syndicated re-runs. In some markets it has beaten out the late-night talk shows in landslides.

In the video store I used to work at, the DVD set NEVER rented! We actually got notified to return it to distribution because of poor rentals.
