...had an affair? For a secretary, Jennifer had a gorgeous apartment and was apparently paid 'very well.' It makes me wonder if it was being implied that Jennifer was Arthur's mistress.

View Full Version : Did the Show Try To Imply That Jennifer And The 'Big Guy'... Brian Damage 03-22-2008, 11:50 AM ...had an affair? LeeBlue 03-24-2008, 03:59 PM I think it was implied that Jennifer had men friends but I never thought Mr. Carlson was one of them.. It's been (unfortunately) too many years since I saw WKRP but I think in one episode something was said about her investing her money wisely?? snl 70s show fan 03-24-2008, 08:27 PM i think the big guy might have thought about it at one time but he would never really have gone thru with it Jude The Obscure 03-25-2008, 01:27 AM I remember the episode where Jennifer actually called Herb on his bluff! that was funny. LeeBlue 03-25-2008, 03:14 PM Another funny episode -- Jennifer agreed to attend an awards show with Les -- LOL TV DVD Fan 03-25-2008, 11:12 PM Another funny episode -- Jennifer agreed to attend an awards show with Les -- LOL The Buckeye Newshawk Awards Banquet! :) catlover79 03-29-2008, 09:32 PM ...had an affair? Ewwwwwwwwwww...that's not a very pretty visual. dlemond 04-01-2008, 07:28 PM They never implied anything was going on or ever had with Jennifer and Mr. Carlson. What they did imply was that Jennifer got such a huge salary because she was beautiful- and that she was very smart, so she could get her way with Mr. Carlson in regard to her job. Mr. Carlson loved his wife and would get flustered even when he complimented Jennifer. In "Filthy Pictures"- the episode where a photographer took pictures of Jennifer while changing for a photo shoot- while trying to get the photos back Mr. Carlson stammers embarrassedly as he admits to having seen them: Jennifer: How do you know? Mr Carlson: I I I I saw them. I'm sorry. Jennifer: How were they? Mr Carlson: Oh, just real good. The delivery of Gordon Jump was priceless. catlover79 04-07-2008, 01:43 PM You're right - Gordon Jump had great timing and delivery. The Big Guy was really just The Little Kid. Lester 06-20-2008, 07:10 AM I think it was implied that Jennifer had men friends but I never thought Mr. Carlson was one of them.. In Filthy Pictures, when Carlson confronts the photogrpapher about the pictures, he describes her as a friend rather than an employee. Admittedly not a lady friend, which could have sounded dodgy. In other episodes we see that he has a great deal of respect for her, and she for him. I couldn't really see Big Guy being anything other than that with Jennifer. |
