I just wanted to let you know that I was at the Best Buy in Greenville earlier with my brother Mike and his wife Jen, and I purchased the first two seasons' worth of another classic comedy-- "I Love Lucy" S1 and S2 (1951-53). I just put in the first disc of the first season, and tried out the original lost pilot, and I was practically convulsing with laughter over its entire length. These two seasons of "Lucy" are sure to go down, I believe, as two of my best investments. If it had been "Friends" or "Seinfeld," I am certain that I would have felt differently than I did just now.

Ah, you can't go wrong with I Love Lucy - that show is a classic and you laugh no matter how many times you watch them. My favorite is the Vitavetavegamin (sp?) show. I forget what season it was in but you have to watch that one!

Oh, I plan to-- I'd love to see it. It's in that first season towards the end. It sounds pretty appealing. Thank you for the reply.

Glad you're enjoying the Lucy dvd's.

Thanks very much, annball1957. I certainly am and certainly plan to, what with 35 regular outings and the pilot, and a heaping helping of extras (at least on the first one). The second one, I'll enjoy as much as I did the first one.

Thanks for the tip, dakert, but I think that I might purchase each of the other seasons individually and work forward to the end, hopefully reaching the 13 "Lucy and Desi Comedy Hours" on the 7-8-9 set. I have nothing against getting the whole series in one set, but I think it might sound awkward to purchase the whole series again just for a movie, when you would already have the series in season sets. That's the same thing that "MacGyver" fans have been complaining about-- the true fans of that series purchased all 7 seasons' worth of it, hoping for Paramount to eventually bring out the 1994 movies with the #7 release. Instead, Paramount restricted distribution of the movies to a single bonus disc included only with their package of the full series of "MacGyver." A lot of people didn't like having to purchase the series again just to get the movies, and as such, a good many cried foul about it.

I feel the same way about The Brady Bunch! I bought the entire series season by season. Then they decided to a complete series set and add Brady Xmas, Brady 500 and some episodes of The Brady Kids as extras. Well, PHOOEY!!! That is a spit in the face to all us loyal fans who bought the season sets

I think that FOX did it too at least once with "M*A*S*H." None of the 11 individually wrapped season packages had any extras, but then FOX came out with a completed "Martinis and Medicine Collection," and restricted the 1970 film, the 2-hr. "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen" finale, and other assorted extras to two or three features discs included only with the "Martinis and Medicine" full collection. Like "MacGyver," a lot of "M*A*S*H" fans cried foul about the decision by FOX to only include features with the completed series package. That said, thanks, Jude86, for your comment.

Glad you enjoyed it and hopefully you'll have it for many, many more years to come! It beats watching the edited, syndication copies been running forever on most local TV stations and cable! Hope you'll get all the remaining six seasons plus seasons 7, 8 and 9 of I Love Lucy billed as "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour." The show's absolutely timeless!

Thanks for the reply, bossradio93. I'd like to get the remaining seasons, and of course the "Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour." Matter-of-factly, I saw the set with those 13 episodes at the Best Buy when I purchased the first two seasons worth, but I did not purchase the 7-8-9 set yet. I'd like to eventually get to that though. I'm already two discs into the first season-- I've seen the episodes on each disc, and also sampled some of the numerous extras.
