"It is a thriller about a killer that drives a certain torino. His 1972 Ford Gran Torino is the only thing the police have on him. A retired police lieutenant, one Harry Callahan, makes it his mission to track down the culprit when two young police officers, one Callahan's grandson, are shot and killed by the guy."

Sweet! A final Dirty Harry film would be great.

Wow, Dirty Harry at 80! I'm up for it. As long as it not a hot mess like the last Rocky or Rambo.

I loved the first 4 DH movies...I wasn't crazy about the Dead Pool. I'm hoping that if it is another Dirty Harry movie it will be great enough to put the character to rest. This news is all over the internet but I still have my doubts if it is really a Dirty Harry movie.

First of all AICN is an unreliable source.
Secondly, in the original movie we learn his wife got killed in a car accident, we even see a pic of the two, but nowhere do we see a baby pic, in fact, there's no reference of him being a father in all the movies and now we're suppose to believe he's Dirty Grandpa Harry?
Thirdly, Clint Eastwood is willing to do voice work for a possible Dirty Harry videogame which the story would be set between the original and the first sequel - Magnum Force, but he laughed off at any possible movie sequel.
This rumour sounds more plausible.
Our source tells us this will be a simple, quiet and compelling drama about Walt (Eastwood), a rural bigot who finds his outlook on life changed after a family of Hmong immigrants move in to the home next to his own, striking up a friendship with the family's teenaged son Tao over the older man's now-classic car.
