The stand out character was JEROME

The Worst character was LEONARD

Yeah I watch it for the two oldest brothers, none of the others.

I had a chance to get an episode uploaded to youtube by ATLien. Jason Weaver and Thea definetely had excellent chemistry. Weaver also had excellent chemistry with Adam Jefferies. We really didn't need the youngest brother. Danesha could have been written as a schoolmate of Jerome who keeps him in line at school. Uncle Charles could have been written as either Thea's husband or ex-husband. No need for Yvette Wilson.

Wednesday night wasn't a good night for this show, it seemed like TGIF material, especially with Jerome dominating the storylines. What does everyone else think?

Yep, I remember there was the Thanksgiving episode where Dimesha had her own storyline. I think she had to cook the dinner as Thea had to work and Thea got off early and tried to steal her thunder, other than that I remember Jerome storylines or him gettting the best lines in the episode. If this show was on TGIF, it could have lasted 3 to 4 seasons. It probably would have been a good show either before or after Hanging with Mr. Cooper. I hate to say it but hell, it could have probably worked on the SNICK lineup on Nickelodeon, lol.

I don't think that she was "Ghetto" at all, also there isn't anything wrong with a woman or girl with a little sass.

This show was ok! Not something I would cry over missing an episode. I do want every ep for nostalgia purposes.I agree the only person I find interesting is Jerome. All of the other actors are pretty boring in their performances..

I can tolerate that better than I can the phrases and lingo from either The Parkers or The Wayans Brothers. To me, it seemed like she was a no-nonsense parent that laid down the law but still show the motherly traits. She wasn't angry nor bitter as she stated on the show in a conversation to Jerome referring to his father/her husband as "late."

LOL, I used to love it when she used to say that especially when Jerome used to come up with some antic and to slip it pass her. My pops used to say the same thing except his quote was "I know people who know you that you don't know so act right in them streets."

But with the Wayans Brothers, it was one of WB's first shows and the standards were low for pilots and ratings hence the five season run. Any other network would have rejected the pilot or the series would have been cancelled after the initial 13. I don't remember any of the other Wayans working on this show as they did with My Wife and Kids--which by the way led to that show's decline and eventual demise.

My Wife and Kids was a great sitcom, but their decline was due to FRANKLIN, that stupid kid. He was seen more than the parents OWN kids. :rolleyes: It was like Urkel from Family Matters all over again.

I don't know much abt the behind the scenes on the Wayans Brothers show, but you can bet your bottom dollar, there were plenty of Wayans working on that show. They work as a family on each endeavor, which is why they are considered the most successful family in Hollywood. I posted an article sometime back abt the money the Wayans have earned from their shows, their movies, etc. And since it is a family business and the family works as producers, writers, etc. they get most of the money their projects make. Talk abt keeping it in the family. If only the Jackson family learned from them how to make and keep your money. :rolleyes:

I love season 1 and most of season 2 of My Wife and Kids. That show was so great in the beginning. Then as Irene mentioned, they just HAD to bring in Franklin and make him center of the show (blinky shoes, anyone? :rolleyes:), and the episodes became more and more ridiculous as it went on. The characters just all became caricaturistic shells of their former selves, especially Junior.

Even the actor acknowledged in a letter to someone here on the boards (a fan letter) that he will forever be known as the person who brought down MY WIFE AND KIDS.
