View Full Version : Now why the hell would someone have DENTAL COVERAGE working for a small DINER??? TVFactFan 03-18-2008, 07:12 PM Alice chipped a tooth eating mel's chili and Earl asked Mel why don't the girls have dental coverage. you don't get no dental coverage working as a waitress-lol Ireneparalegal 03-18-2008, 07:20 PM why not? Did you work as a waitress? TVFactFan 03-18-2008, 07:31 PM why not? Did you work as a waitress? I didn't think a DINER would give dental coverage. Just like when i was a telemarkter for 6 months, i never understood what people meant on the phone when i called them and they said-"GET A REAL JOB" By that they meant a job with paid holidays, sick days, vacation days health insurance and dental coverage-lol I had NONE OF THAT-lol Ireneparalegal 03-18-2008, 08:07 PM I didn't think a DINER would give dental coverage. That is a job, but when people get a call from a telemarker (or a creditor or someone they don't want to hear from) that is what a lot of people say. It doesn't mean they are tellling you "you have no dental coverage or sick days." Some employers offer dental, it just depends on the employer/company. I think thart is what they meant. but i don't expect a fast food joint to give dental coverage-lol Ireneparalegal 03-18-2008, 08:17 PM I think thart is what they meant. but i don't expect a fast food joint to give dental coverage-lol You can't say that abt all places. I remember this girl I knew who was a manager at a fast food place and she was earning a great salary. The fast food place was privately owned. She told me the owner offered her either medical/dental coverage OR a significant raise in her monthly salary. She wanted the money instead because her husband had dental coverage through his work. Yeah she was a manager I'm talking about a FRY COOK or a WAITRESS-lol Brieannas21 03-18-2008, 08:32 PM Like Irene said, it depends on the company or the employer. Some places that you wouldn't even think of might have health benefits. But I wouldn't think that Mel would spring for such a luxury. Ireneparalegal 03-18-2008, 08:36 PM Mel was tight, so I can't imagine him wanting to spend more money on something like that. Now, if Alice hadn't been such a damn goody-two shoes, that money that Mel and the girls found in the diner ceiling and safe in the ground, could have come in handy for Alice. :snob: catlover79 01-05-2009, 10:58 PM The girls all worked there full-time, and were not allowed to moonlight. Shouldn't they be entitled to some kind of dental coverage? |
