According to Variety, new New Line head Toby Emmerich will steer the much-hyped “Hobbit” film into production, as well as both a “Wedding Crashers 2” and an “Austin Powers 4” (depending, of course, on how much those two films cost – being that New Line are restricted to making lesser-budgeted flicks; otherwise they’ll be WB product). Those three franchises are New Line’s biggest success stories outside of the “Elm Street” series so it’s not at all surprising to hear Warner Bros have OK’ed a plan for the NL crowd to continue work on them.

Agreed, I loved the Austin Powers movies. They were great "popcorn" flicks. Whether he can relive the magic is a totally different story though.

I loved Austin Powers too. I'd like to see another movie. Though, I don't think they'll ever be able to top The Spy Who Shagged Me, that movie was great! :lol:

I read a while back that Mike Myers was developing a Dr. Evil movie. I loved the Austin Powers movies, but I think it's time for Mike to do other things. At least he's got The Love Guru coming out this summer.

he shouldn't have bothered. all the films are the same as each other- same premise, predictable endings too. once was good, twice is ok but four times? not for me thanks. and anyhow, personally i always preferred the wayne's world movies to the austin power ones anyway

Have yall seen The Love Guru mini sutras (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6frkkF5Ra0) on you tube? i just found them, they're funny, made me more excited about the movie..

Also, i was pumped about timberlake being in the movie to begin with but then i just remembered how funny he was on SNL (d*** in a box...hysterical) and got even more excited.,...

Mike Myers has said nothing about making another Austin Powers movie. The studio head wants to make one, but if Myers doesn't, then it's a moot point.

I did read that Mike Myers would like to make a Dr. Evil movie, but beyond him making that remark, I haven't heard anything else.

Anything is possible, but until you actually hear that the movie is in production, don't hold your breath.

The Love Guru comes out next month. I think Mike Myers has moved on to new things...good!

Did yall see Mike Myers on the Idol finale all dressed up in his Love Guru gear? it was hilarious, he's certainly up to his old tricks.. Im glad its coming out in less than a month, i'm ready for a good comedy!
