It's not every day that Mayor Tom Menino honors a Yankees fan - but Broadway legend Chita Rivera realizes an honor when she receives one. The Tony Award-winning singer/dancer was in town to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at "Swellegance," the annual fund-raiser for Boston Youth Moves, and Menino named Saturday as Chita Rivera Day in Boston. After admitting she was partial to the pinstripes, Rivera quickly added: "I also have a very great sense of humor." At the reception that followed, video praises were lavished by Rosie O'Donnell, who wants to be the Broadway baby's "best friend," and David Hyde Pierce (surrounded by his "Curtains" cast) who said "Nobody moves like you." Kelsey Grammer's former TV bro was followed - in person - by Grammer's "Cheers" wife Bebe Neuwirth, who started her tribute to the original "Chicago" Velma with: "It's lovely to be here in Boston where everyone seems to know my name."
