It looks like they ran all 26 episodes on Saturday. I didn't know about it until the end. I haven't really paid any attention to that network since I first recorded Sanford from there in the early 90s. The ran another one today so maybe it's going back on there schedule. It should be a good chance for all of us to upgrade our old tape copies and record them directly to DVD.

Gotta start reading those blogs. It's been so long, at least a decade, since anything I cared about actually aired anywhere that I don't even pay any attention anymore.

I now wish they can air eps of the Sanford and Son spinoffs-"Grady" and "Sanford Arms", I seen enough of Sanford and it's no longer in the RARE catergory

When they originally ran Sanford they aired 4 Sanford Arms episodes as well. Assuming it's the same package they bought, those should be in there again.

I have to check the Sanford boards more often, LOL. I just bought Sanford the complete series from iOffer and Sanford Arms as well.

I timed an episode and they are cut to about 22:15. I'll keep my VHS tapes from the early 90s when they come in at 25 minutes and are complete. Also, no bugs either.

Same here. That is why I missed it. I don't watch S&S on TVland anymore, but I would have loved to see SANFORD, but because I don't read the S&S boards, I missed the thread.

They're cut anyway. We're all better off sticking with our tapes from when BET aired them last time.

True, the older airings were better. But, apart from an, apparently, mis-timed commercial break during one airing of "The Still of the Night, the episodes have not been cut in the usual manner. They run complete, but are digitally "time compressed", effectively speeding up the video to squeeze in about 3 minutes more of ads.

The result is the video and audio speeding up at regular intervals, and could be compared to the "wow" effect of an off center 45rpm record. Bits of dialogue sound clipped, and the video becomes jerky-- most noticeable when the credits roll, as you will see the text pause, then "bounce" up the screen as the frame rate changes.

So do you think they are complete? Its possible but time speeding really looks bad with videotaped shows. With film, you can take out a couple of frames per second and pick up time while not really affecting the play to apparently. But with videotape you just have to run it faster and that looks terrible. I'll still stick with my originals.
