Have you heard that so many people want Family Matters back on TV. There's even a website, wher eyou can sign your name (If you want it back) and write comments about it. I don't know what I think about that. Jaleel White said that he does not want to play Steve again. So I have no opinion so far. What do you think?

I do believe that many people want Family Matters back on TV. Its coming to Nick at Nite in June here in the USA in case you did not know. I can understand why people may not want to go three months without FM, but they will have to get used to it or dig up some old VHS tapes like I have been doing!

However, I know for a fact that lots more people want in on freaking DVD. If you go to TVShowsOnDVD.com you can vote for if you want it to be relased as season sets. The unreleased rank of the show on that site is fairly high. I do not understand WB's logic here. Full House sold like hotcakes, Fresh Prince did well there for a while (its on TV too much now even for my tastes), and plenty of other 80s and 90s family sitcoms have had success. Why do they think FM would be any different? Its not like it is on TV entirely too much like FP or Seinfeld (not that there can be too much Seinfeld).

So many crappy sitcoms that had very short lifespans have been released on DVD now, so I say if they can get a release why not FM?

Also, Jaleel White may have said that but that has nothing to do with whether or not the show will be back on TV or put on DVD. I do hope however he is not ruling out particiapting in a special feature for the sets, but knowing WB they probably will not include any.

I think you misread. People want Family Matters back on television, but they want the show to air in reruns, not bring back the characaters to make a new Family Matters. Some people don't get to see Family Matters in reruns, so it makes sense they may want it to return in SYNDICATION.
