Hi. I need some leads for this. What do you think qualifies for the hottest sitcom right now? Thank you.

I think it's 'Hannah Montana'. Because you have a young girl (Miley Cyrus) who is being called a role model and she doesn't look at you like your crazy. Our kids need a positive role model because it sure isn't coming from Lindsey or Britney. I, myself, watch 'HM' and I'm a 20 year old male. Plus, she's everywhere: on billboards, covers of magazines, posters.

The Office, at least, in my school. no one i know cares about Big Bang Theroy or How I Met Your Mother.

if we're saying laugh-track sitcoms, Two and a Half Men. or any of the Disney kiddie sitcoms.

I think the "hottest" sitcom, not counting any cable or Disney-related sitcoms, would have to be The Office. It doesn't get the highest rating, but it gets the most buzz of any sitcom on TV. I mean, you don't exactly here people talking about Two and a Half Men, even though it's the highest rated.

I think 2 that are close though would have to be new comers Big Bang Theory and Back to You. Both get a lot of buzz on the internet, and yes, I have actually heard people talking about both. Two and a Half Men and My Name is Earl would also be up there.

I agree with those who said The Office. 30 Rock has also been pretty "hot" over the last year or so.

The Big Bang Theory has a chance to be the next huge show. CBS moving it to the 8:00 anchor spot, and giving it an early renewal speaks volumes about what the network thinks about this show. It is really hot.

Scrubs has been really quiet lately, though. It doesn't get nearly as much attention as it did like 3 or 4 years ago.

I agree, Scrubs has been doing pretty poorly in the ratings the past few years compared to season 2 which averaged over 10 million viewers. Once The Office won the 2006 Emmy lots of buzz has been centered around the show. The main reasons being the will they/won't they Jim/Pam relationship and Steve Carell being in lots of movies. Once The Office no longer becomes 'buzz-worthy' my guess is that 30 Rock will be the next network sitcom to take over.
