Is there any news on this? I haven't heard anything in a while. Brian Damage 03-05-2008, 02:24 AM The 21-year-old Pickler, who came to "Idol" from Albemarle, N.C., but has relocated to Nashville, released her debut, "Small Town Girl," in October. On the strength of two country hits, the goofy "Red High Heels" and introspective "I Wonder," the album has sold more than 500,000 copies. Her burgeoning success also earned the telegenic homegirl plum publicity spots, such as a co-hosting gig for CMT on the red carpet at the 2006 Country Music Association awards show and hanging with the ladies on "The View" during the Rosie O'Donnell era. Pickler is now touring the country through October as an opening act on Brad Paisley's "Bonfires & Amplifiers" tour, though she's moonlighting with some solo dates, such as tonight at Toad's Place. (She performs tomorrow in Bethel, N.Y., with Paisley.) Calling a couple of weeks ago during a rare day off in Nashville, Pickler gave us an update on the status of her sitcom, how she's adjusted to her new lifestyle and what she thinks of Yamin's album. On another note, what's the latest on your sitcom deal? That's on the back burner right now. I want to work on establishing myself as a country singer. I've waited my whole life to do this. http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-32480202_ITM PlayOn 03-05-2008, 02:58 AM On another note, what's the latest on your sitcom deal? She had the interviewer rolling, who said 'they should just let you loose on the set and you can ab-lib everything. you don't need a script.' It's good she's living out her dream, tho. Thanx, Brain Damage. Brian Damage 03-05-2008, 03:09 AM That's too bad. I saw her in a couple interviews and she was hysterical.
