I am a new/old MTM fan and started watching the DVDs in order (I got all four of the releases we've got so far). I liked the "Bess, You Is My Daughter Now" episode in Season 1, and it got me to wondering...just as the episode focused mostly on Mary and Bess exclusively, do any later episodes have story arcs with Bess and Rhoda? It was the addition of their relationship first brought up in the premiere that "saved" the Rhoda character, after all. So I was wondering if we get many moments where we see Rhoda doing things as Bess' "aunt"?

I'm afraid there really isn't any moments like that with Rhoda and Bess. At least I can't recall any. Just Mary and Bess.

Erin's right. There really weren't too many scenes with them together. Plus you've got to remember that Rhoda left halfway through Season 4 (Her last episode is "Lou's Second Date") and Phyllis and Bess left in Season 5. Their last ep. is "Phyllis Whips Inflation." So there really wasn't time for an ep. about them. Besides, do you really think Phyllis would let Bess hang out w/ Rhoda like she did w/ Mary? ;)

OK, so nothing like that one episode. But would you recall any key MOMENTS between the two to look for, if not an episode?

No, sorry.
I'm not trying to pry, but is there a reason you're asking?

Yes I am a demented fetishist about young girls treating totally unrelated older women as their aunts :-) :-) :-)
Seriously, all it was was curiosity from one who has just started rediscovering MTM.

Ah okay.
Did you say you had the show on tape, or the DVDs? Just curious.

MTM I have on DVD, what's been released so far. Rhoda I got from the VHS compilations.
