I just acquired seasons 2-6 and I zipped through the first disc of season 2 without any trouble. There were many season 1 episodes I found tedious, but season 2 is where the show really found it's groove IMO.
Anyone else agree that season 2 was a gigantic step ahead after the first season, which was good, but nowhere near the show at it's best. Looking forward to the introductions of Addie and Joey in season 3, since that's where I really remember watching the show as a kid. Outside of the TV One episodes aired in 2006, most of these episodes I haven't seen in over 20 years when they originally aired on NBC, and I was really young at the time.

Hey Dean! How are you finding the quality? On some episodes, there is a static-y audio. Did you notice this in your set?
My favorite episode from Season 3 is "The Big Apple" (2-parter)... It is Nell and Addy at their hysterical best. I love it! I'm deep into Season 4 now and I watched a bunch of episodes recently. It is possibly THE best season so far. The Sammy Davis, Jr. episode is very funny. I also really liked "Julie's Lie" which introduces the character of Jonathan. Kind of a dramatic yet touching episode. I also watched "Monkey See, Monkey Do" which I do remember seeing when I was younger. The scenes at Katie's boutique are very 80s and fun to see again. I love when Samantha is trying on clothes and Nell screams "Samantha, what is this Miami Vice?!"

I am going to have to agree that Season two was a "very" good season for this show! It is the season in which my all-time favorite episode took place. The episode that I am referring to is "Katie Steals Julie's Jock". When I was a teenager, I had a "huge" crush on the actress who played Julie! Seeing her in those designer boots in that episode was an experience that was "too good to be true"! Wow! I also liked the episode known as "Nell Goes Door to Door". This was Hazel Shermet's third and last time on this show. I would say that, in the day, she was almost as "hot" as Lauri Hender! I find it "very" hard to believe that she was already sixty-two when this episode aired! I thought that the next season after this was pretty decent too. My favorite episode in the third season was "Samantha's Protest". If anyone out there is interested, I will be happy to tell you what posts to go to if you would like to know what I especially liked about that episode. After that, I thought that the show kind of petered out. After the chief died, they had really run their course. In the sixth and last season in which all of the girls were gone, I found the show "completely" unwatchable!

I notice that too. What source is your set from? The set I have is mostly taken from a WB carrier around 2004-2005 (judging from the split seconds I saw of One Tree Hill and What I Like About You promos) but some of the episodes are USA, but only a minority

Yeah, same here. Do you see that frequent station-promo for The Jeffersons on yours?

I am really just responding to this thread to let everyone know that I am "very" happy that this page is "finally" getting some posts on it! It shows that the topic of this show is not dead! One thing that I cannot stress too much about season two is that in the episode "Katie Steals Julie's Jock" the character of Julie was a "knockout" in my opinion. I think that after I post this, I will bring another old thread up to the top to see if I can stimulate some more conversation about the show. Take care folks!
