I asked this way back when, and found myself wondering now. Has Marlo and/or Phil ever made a rebuttal about that smear-campaign-like book their ex-butler wrote? Also, how much should I read into what it says? (I never read it and don't want to...it's just human nature to be distressed when someone says negative things or reveals supposedly negative things about someone you like)

I actually read the book. That guy did a real hatchet job on her. I can't believe all those things were true about Marlo Thomas. The ex-butler did say some complimentary things about her father Danny Thomas.

I think Marlo and Phil ignored the book. To respond to it would have just given it more attention. I read only one thing that Phil Donahue said about the book when asked.

He said "Big deal, so she yelled at the guy. I yelled at him more."
