Paul Dano, from the terrific "There Will Be Blood", has signed on to star in the new indy comedy "Gigantic".
The movie, which began shooting in New York today, stars Dano as a depressed mattress salesman whose quest to adopt a Chinese baby is sidetracked when he falls for Happy (Zooey Deschanel).
Anyway, there have been a few more names announced for the movie John Goodman, Ed Asner and Jane Alexander.
Asner will play Brian's pot-smoking, gangsta rap-loving father, and Alexander is set as his long-suffering mother. Goodman will play Happy's brilliant, domineering dad.
Director Matt Aselton co-wrote the script with Adam Nagata.
