wow what amazing info
Pavan 03-01-2008, 03:31 PM Yes, lol. As of now, there are no stunts planned. It will just be the current regular schedule.
I know this isn't about March 2008, but Nick at Nite has acquired Everybody Hates Chris for Fall 2009:

More info on that on the blog soon.
Buffyboy323 03-02-2008, 11:01 AM I'm shocked N@N is keeping The Cosby Show, Full House, and Roseanne on. I wish they would air all three shows for an hour a night. Though I guess anything is better than seeing Will Smith's face on my TV every hour on the clock.
And Everybody Hates Chris on N@N??? puke:

Everybody Hates Chris?-LOL. I never though I'd see the day when Nick at Nite acquires a UPN/CW show. That's definitely an alltime low for them. But, I guess they're really trying to attract that younger audience - now instead of the 18-35 demo, they're going for the 5-12 demo-LOL.
I'm glad they're sticking to the overnight blocks of Roseanne, Full House, and Cosby. It's a lot better than Fresh Prince.

I'm a little tired of all these wall-to-wall weeks. ANd it's not just because I don't like George Lopez. I love Home Improvement, but I didn't like it getting a week long marathon either. I'd rather just have a regular schedule. Witht hese marathons, people will get tired of these shows fast.
TVFactFan 03-02-2008, 03:53 PM BEAUTIFUL NEWS PAVAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March is a good month for TV, first the BET pickups of Diffrent Strokes, Thea, and Sanford, the Marathon of Sanford on the 8th of March, and now the GEORGE LOPEZ WEEK on the 17th. This month is going down in the cable hall of fame

I completely agree. This is one of the biggest problems I have with some cable networks today. Where's the regular schedule? Where's the variety?
Ireneparalegal 03-02-2008, 03:58 PM To be honest, the time to do a marathon is when the SHOW DEBUTS not waaay after the fact, but it is great news to hear G-Lo is finally getting its marathon.

And I better see you on the GL board during the week too or I'm going to be so mad at you-lol It's no reason that the GL should not be active during a MARATHON WEEK

I know what you mean. What's the lineup going to be? Chris at 9pm leading to Friends at 10pm? That'll be a great lineup-LOL
Is The Nanny still coming February '09?
TVFactFan 03-02-2008, 04:44 PM 2009 already sounds like A$$ if Everybody Hates Chris and the Nanny is coming to N@N

friendsfan77 03-02-2008, 05:09 PM I love Friends and even I think it shouldn't be on N@N. There are other '80's and '90's shows that should air that don't get as much exposure. Considering how popular it is, they would run it to death.

I don't understand how they can air teen shows (Everybody Hates Chris), family shows (Home Improvement, George Lopez), women's shows (The Nanny), and adult shows (Friends) all in one night.

2009 looks like a JUMP THE SHARK time for N@N, 2004 was TV Land's JTS moment
Pavan 03-02-2008, 05:55 PM The Nanny is slated for 2009, but it could be moved to TV Land instead, as it really doesn't fit the genre. Friends is still a few years away, 2011, so a lot can happen by then.
Fresh Prince's contract is up in fall 2009 as well...will they renew? We shall see.
The Nanny would be MUCH better on TV Land, IMO. It fits with shows along the lines of Just Shoot Me, Mad About You, Murphy Brown, etc. TV Land was still in charge of N@N when it was acquired, so why shouldn't they air it.
MikeLutton 03-02-2008, 06:21 PM dont forget about family matters coming to Nan this june
Buffyboy323 03-02-2008, 09:00 PM dont forget about family matters coming to Nan this june
I can't wait for that! It's been a LONG, LONG time since I've said that about a show coming to N@N.
Buffyboy323 03-02-2008, 09:02 PM Everybody Hates Chris?-LOL. I never though I'd see the day when Nick at Nite acquires a UPN/CW show. That's definitely an alltime low for them. Reba is the only CW show that I think should be on Nick at Nite...in about 15 years, of course. But times have changed. My, how times have changed. Everybody Hates Chris? That sounds like a cry of desperation if you ask me.
MikeLutton 03-02-2008, 09:56 PM im surprises Married with children the 70s show few others not on there mwc be better for nan about as racy as roeseanne is other shows on nah hope fp goes away next year

I think Married...With Children would be TOO much for Nick at Nite. And That '70s Show is going to air on The N and ABCFamily soon. Maybe if That '70s does well on those networks as it has on FX, Nick at Nite *might* think of aquiring the show when Friends becomes their new "prodigal child." They may want to capitalize more on shows centered around, well, Friends.
TVFactFan 03-02-2008, 10:48 PM Shows I would like to see come to N@N in the next 2-3 years that I think would be a good fit

What is your defintion of a FEW YEARS? Because I have not seen HOTC on N@N since I was a MEMBER of this site. Unless you mean during the 2000-2001 era

Step By Step and Blossom are my two MOST WANTED shows on Nick at Nite too! (Now that Family Matters is officially coming)
Pavan 03-03-2008, 12:04 AM Perfect Strangers and Head of the Class aired back-to-back in the late nights for most of 2003.
I don't think Head of the Class and Blossom would work with Nick at Nite in the ratings. HOTC might be too old for N@N now...TVL would work better. Step by Step would work for sure on Nick at Nite. Maybe they can get it in 2010, when ABC Family loses it in March 2010.

Scoobiedoo30 03-03-2008, 02:43 AM Perfect Strangers aired at 3:00 am and Head of The Class at 3:30 am on Nick@Nite
tbswatcher 03-03-2008, 04:06 PM According to Jim should come to Nick at Nite since I don't think it will be getting a cable home. Also, when does Family Matters come I thought it was March since Abc Family is losing the rights this month.

Pavanbadal told me According To Jim is coming to TBS in 2009. I think Family Matters starts in June

I would love to see Step by Step on Nick at Nite, but by 2010, with Friends coming, it just wouldn't fit anymore. I'm seriously hoping Friends goes to TV Land instead . . . it would be better on there, since NAN is more for the family-friendly theme.
Pavan 03-03-2008, 05:48 PM Friends is 2011, not 2010.
LeeBlue 03-03-2008, 08:01 PM Always appreciate the updates here!!
I'm wishing and hoping that Perfect Strangers gets another chance!!
Ireneparalegal 03-03-2008, 09:28 PM According to Jim already airs in syndication on CW. If it gets added to TBS, I don't think N@N would pick it up.
JulieSomoski 03-04-2008, 04:58 PM Friends is 2011, not 2010.
I know - I should have said by 2011 instead of 2010.
TVFactFan 03-04-2008, 07:27 PM I'm still stunned N@N would pick up everybody hates chris
Who was the BONEHEAD behind this decision?

Their schedule page said A Different World was on. It must have been your on-screen schedule that made the mistake. But I can understand, with NAN having a history of making sked changes without telling anyone about it.
I'm seeing Growing Pains right now on Nick at Nite..it's 5:30 am right now. Did they just change this a few days ago or something? It's nice to see but I doubt it's going to last more than a week or two, knowing Nick's schedule.
Pavan 03-13-2008, 11:09 AM Wednesday nights at 5:30am is a different show each week. Usually Designing Women, Murphy Brown, A Different World, Mad About You, Hi-Jinks or Growing Pains.

They just added Growing Pains and A Different World . . . while it's only once a week, at a crummy slot, it still is nice to so these shows once in awhile.

Growing Pains could be a nice replacement for HI
MikeLutton 03-13-2008, 07:37 PM i was glad see growing pains on nan something diff i miss watching that show wish it be on more ofton then once a week or month
JulieSomoski 03-14-2008, 05:43 PM Growing Pains could be a nice replacement for HI
I wouldn't mind it, but it's not like it matters, because it would never happen anyways.
TVFactFan 03-14-2008, 06:25 PM I wouldn't mind it, but it's not like it matters, because it would never happen anyways.
HI reminds me of roseanne, a family show not centered on the entire family, mainly the dad, GP was not like that at all
JulieSomoski 03-16-2008, 02:12 PM HI reminds me of roseanne, a family show not centered on the entire family, mainly the dad, GP was not like that at all
It always seemed like the opposite of Roseanne to me. I can see why you don't necessarily like it for that fact, but I don't mind. It would be nice to see something different, though. Since all 8 seasons are out on DVD (season 8 soon at least) I don't care to watch it on television anymore.
Pavan 03-18-2008, 03:18 PM Family Matters has been moved again! But now earlier!

JulieSomoski 03-18-2008, 03:24 PM Now actually, I'd rather have it premiere in April, just because I think it will most likely air at 9pm, which is when I watch Drew Carey on ION.

Pav you made me nervous, I thought you were going to say the Lopez Marathon was cancelled or cut short-lol
chris31989 03-18-2008, 08:01 PM I'm glad about this. I'm sitting here not feeling well and know that FM is not on and I miss it. It would have made me feel better, but I'm glad to here it's not far from coming back!
JulieSomoski 03-21-2008, 04:25 PM Just thought I'd give a few sked changes for the rest of March. After the George Lopez marathon ends, the latenight Roseanne/Cosby/Full House with thankfully continue. The only exception is they will now be from 3am-6am, with an hour of Fresh Prince at 2am.
Also, on Monday, 3/24, for some reason the schedule will be 9pm HI, 10pm GL, 11pm FP, 12am HI, 1am GL, 2am FP, 3am Cosby, 4am Roseanne, and 5:30am Mad About You. Also on Tuesday the 25th, Murphy Brown will air at 5:30am.
Pavan 03-21-2008, 04:58 PM The hour of Fresh Prince 2-3am has been on for a few weeks now.
TVFactFan 03-21-2008, 07:02 PM I'm in a Jam right now, since BET airs Thea at such a stupid Time, (9am) I can fall alsleep to the GL marathon because i have to program my VCR to record Thea
Pavan 03-21-2008, 09:21 PM I can record those two for you on your tape, if you want.
TVFactFan 03-21-2008, 09:29 PM I can record those two for you on your tape, if you want.
ok, so your Tivo is already programed to record tomorrow's episodes?
Pavan 03-21-2008, 09:35 PM Yes, my Comcast DVR has it set to record tomorrow morning.
TVFactFan 03-21-2008, 09:37 PM Yes, my Comcast DVR has it set to record tomorrow morning.
ok just make sure it's set from 8:58am to 10:00-lol
Pavan 03-22-2008, 01:28 PM Late night changes starting Monday, March 24 (only through April 20 when Family Matters joins):
Mondays:
3:00am & 3:30am The Cosby Show
4:00-5:30am Roseanne
5:30am Rotator (Murphy Brown, Growing Pains, Mad About You, A Different World, Hi-Jinks)
Tuesdays
3-6am Roseanne
(on 4/1 only it will be 3-4am Full House, 4-5:30am Roseanne, & 5:30am Full House)
Wednesdays
3-6am Full House
Thursdays
3-6am Roseanne
Fridays
4-6am The Cosby Show (sometimes Roseanne is 5-6am)
Saturdays
3-6am Full House
Sundays
2-6am Roseanne
Again these are just through April 20. See April thread for April changes when Family Matters joins.
JulieSomoski 03-22-2008, 05:27 PM I don't get why they have to make their schedule so confusing. The rotating block was less confusing than this.
It seems Roseanne must be doing the best in latenight out of the 3. It's good to see it airing quite often lately. And do you know if the latenight wheels at 5:30am (now on Mon) will continue when Family Matters comes? For some reason, I hope they do.
Pavan 03-22-2008, 05:45 PM Yes, the late night wheel will continue in April when Family Matters come. See the April thread.
