When I was a kid, I saw this old cartoon on TV, where the main character (some maniacal cartoon animal, but I can't remember if it was a cat, or dog, or what...) was wanting to audition his act to a talent agent.
There was a long line of other characters auditioning before him, and the character kept getting impatient, telling the talent scout that his act would be the best ever.
Finally, it's his turn to do his act. His act consists of some self-torture and ends with blowing himself up...as his little cartoon-ghost is floating up, it tells the talent scout "there's one problem--I can only do the act once!"
I can understand why they never show this on TV anymore. Does anyone else remember seeing this? It looked like it may have been made in the 40s or 50s and I think it may have been either Hanna-Barbera or Warner Bro....
