Earl to me is a much better daily customer to have in the Dinner besides Henry. Henry had a annoying voice and just was Unusual in my opinion. Earl seems more normal and blends in well with everyone else in the Diner

I can see your point as far as Earl goes and I agree with you but I prefer Henry. He seemed to have more of a blend than Earl although he would come in a close second.

I prefer Henry also. He's funnier to me. Though I like them both.

I think I preferred Henry too, but you gotta love Earl and his bad legal advice. They had at least 3 or 4 times where Earl was giving legal advice (drawing up contracts, etc) and the result was disasterous.

Both were fine IMO. And both started out as just recurring characters during the early seasons before getting their roles beefed up in the post-Flo years.

I didn't find Henry's voice annoying at all. In fact, Marvin Kaplan was one of
the great voice actors (in my opinion). His previous experience was in radio
shows (like Meet Millie and the Hanna-Barbera cartoon show Top
Cat (in which he played Choo Choo). But his greatest performance, I
think, was as one of the mechanics in the movie classic "It's a Mad, Mad,
Mad World" in which he and Arnold (Top Cat) Stang played a pair of brothers
fighting a berserk Jonathan Winters. Hilarious!

They were the same to me. I mean, they were two diverse characters, so each one had their thing going. As I remember when Earl first appeared, it didn't really dawn on me that I was watching Ruben Kincaid (Partridge Family). I liked how he just came onto the show and you forgot he played that other character.
