Outkast star Andre 3000 is running to become a TV mayor of Los Angeles. The singer/songwriter will test his acting skills when he campaigns for public office in the upcoming season of hit drama The Shield.

It won't be his debut on the gritty show - he portrayed a comic book store owner in 2004 episodes.
