View Full Version : Something I found annoying

One thing about Step By Step that annoyed me was that they tend to forget what happened in previous episodes.

Yesterday, I saw the "Karen plays mind games with J.T." episode, where she said to J.T. he'd made her life a living hell for two years.

HOWEVER...

I also remember that they were getting along quite well in the diner episode. They got jobs together, quit together and even shot darts at a picture of Dana together!

And today, J.T. and Karen teamed up to play a prank on Dana!

How can Karen go from getting back at J.T. one week to getting along another?

A lot of TV shows do that. There's nothing we can do about it.

Yeah, I doubt there's a TV show out there where you won't find something said contridictory to something said earlier.

Maybe it's because the shows change writers over the years?

Was that the episode where JT and Cody thought that Karen was going to kill JT?

Yes.

But the next episode AND in an earlier one, Karen and J.T. seemingly got along?

It was a joke and Karen got what she wanted so everyone was even... that's my theory.

Can anybody tell me what episode/ season was that?

It's called like The Psychic or something like that... I believe it's either the 2nd or 3rd season.

littlebelle, The Psychic was in Season 2.

IMO, Angela never looked or acted any better than that season.

I think she looked the best in the 1st season!

Are yoiu implying she looked less pretty in the other seasons? lol

I think she meant which season did Angela peaked in terms of prettyness.

Yes, I meant out of all the prettiness, season 1 ranked number one.

I think she was pretty all the time.

She did look a bit anorexic during the last season. I wonder what happened to her? As far as the season two ep goes, it was funny when she got revenge on J.T. and Cody was mimicking "eek" "eek"! LOL.

That's what I'm sayin. I think there must have been some sort of eating issue going on. I'm not saying anorexia or bulimia necessarily, but at least some sort of extreme dieting.

You think Angela Watson had an eating disorder?

Maybe, I don't know. I don't have enough info on her to makes any claims though.

i wouldn't be shocked if she had an eating disorder because of the stress she faced from her terrible parents. I feel sorry for her for how her folks were greedy and inconsiderate. How they spent all of her money from SBS

That reminds me of poor Jaimee Foxworth, who played the role of the "forgotten" little sister Judy Winslow on "Family Matters". Her parents used all her money too.

That's the literal definition of a sitcom. The goal of a sitcom is to maintain the status quo, so there's very little room for change, it's what I call "sitcom amnesia syndrome."

I have never liked it either when writers do not stick to script and show history.

God bless you always!!!

It was very common to do so back in the '90s though. And it wasn't just the sitcoms either. "Dr Quinn" could be just as bad.

May want to check the production order of the episodes. Many sitcoms get aired out of order and Step by Step was no exception.

But nonetheless, it’s an awesome show.
