'Monk' closer most-watched episode

"Monk" ended its sixth season on a high note. The USA Network series averaged 6.9 million total viewers at 9 p.m. Friday, making it the show's most-watched episode ever, by 8%, according to Nielsen.

It also was "Monk's" second-most-watched episode in the adults 18-49 demo and the most-watched installment in adults 25-54 since August 2004. "Monk" also spurred USA to come out ahead of ABC and CBS in the time period in both demos.

All of that build-up for it to be Dale the Whale, who is once again played by a completely different actor. This show is well passed it's prime.

I thought Mr. Monk is on the Run part 1 was the best episode of the season. The show is still great, IMO. I was a little disappointed with part 2, however. The main problem I had with it was they got another actor to play Dale the Whale. I believe that's the 3rd person to play Dale the Whale. Easily the worst one too. :lol: It wasn't a bad episode, it's just that part 1 was one of the best episodes I'd ever seen and I was expecting more.

Yes, this was the third actor playing Dale the Whale (a different actor for each episode). I enjoyed the first DtW best.

I loved "On The Run". I thought it was one of the best ever! Doesn't surprise me that it was the most watched. It was pretty suspenseful!
