View Full Version : Erin Moran on "Celebrity Fit Club" YoliUSA 02-26-2008, 09:59 PM I was watching VH1 this afternoon and they aired the promo for the show and Erin was in it. The show premieres on March 13. Pat 02-27-2008, 08:49 AM Cool Yoli. I'll have to check that one out. Pat 04-22-2008, 12:37 AM Erin Moran, she's still got it. catlover79 04-22-2008, 01:36 PM  YoliUSA 04-22-2008, 01:38 PM I must say that after watching this show I don't really like Erin anymore, sorry. I don't know what she wanted to accomplish by being on this show, other than getting a paycheck of course. I hope she isn't reading what people on the internet and other message boards are posting about her. Just my opinion. :) Pat 04-22-2008, 02:53 PM I have met Erin Moran at a comic con last year and she was adorable in personality, appearance, and in outlook. Every person is human. You see your friend of neighbor act like that and you say, "She's just having a bad day or a bad week." You see a star have a bad week and we say, "That's Joanie Cunningham and she shouldn't act like that." Well, I think it is a little refreshing to see the human side of stars every now and then. Everyone has to ask themselves, am I the kind of person to wash my hands of a friend (a friend you've enjoyed having for years) that may have had a bad time, week, or whatever. Or are you the kind to weigh out everything over the years. There was a HD episode when Richie was slipped a mickie and everyone hated him for his actions, but in the end, they didn't need an explanation. They just wanted his friendship back. Like I said, she was a very charming person to meet. I'm on the side of one who has enjoyed growing up with her entertaining me. That's worth a lot to me. YoliUSA 04-22-2008, 03:09 PM I agree with you Pat. Probably I'm judging too harshly, but I guess I was expecting more of Erin by watching this show. I read an interview a few days ago where she says that doing CFC was her biggest career regret. I think reality tv is a double-edged sword; it gives you a chance to be in the spotlight again but it also shows stuff that people may want to keep private about themselves. IMO she didn't know what she was getting into. Nowadays with the internet and blogs and message boards people comment a lot. The comments about her haven't been very positive (including comments made about her by 2 CFC contestants),so anyways I wish her the best and that she gets any help if she needs it. spreckenzeedeu 04-22-2008, 03:26 PM I'm on your Side, Pat. I haven't met her in Person, but exchanged some Emails with her. And YES, she is a very lovely Person !!!! catlover79 04-22-2008, 03:48 PM CFC seems to be one of those shows that is a double-edged sword. Just ask Willie Aames or Jeff Conaway. I too have had a letter and an autographed photo of Erin, who is indeed a sweetheart. Jude The Obscure 04-22-2008, 08:53 PM When Tocarro said she would take Dustin over Erin, I knew that girl flipped her weave! Give me Erin anyday over that drama queen, Dustin! BensonFan 04-22-2008, 09:06 PM Actually I felt a little sorry for her when she said she was doing it for the money. Has she fallen on hard times maybe? Something about the way she said it and looked like she was close to crying when dealing with the psychologist (forgot her name) gave me the impression that she might be hurting financially. Just a thought. Jude The Obscure 04-22-2008, 09:26 PM I can't answer for sure, but I'm sure the residuals for HD reruns have long stopped, but maybe not for the DVD sales. Maybe that is why she is glad to do press junkets and fan conventions--because it helps to know that she is still loved and doing this reality show may help get more recognition. I don't know why anyone on there acted so surprised--like they are NOT there too for the money? Yes, I truly believe some of them are there for the fitness aspect, but the paycheck has to mean something too. Why else would Dustin come back--for him, more media attention and another paycheck. Wreckless 04-25-2008, 02:27 AM yea i agree with pat, people are human. and iris, how'd you get her email?- I know you can hand mail different characters on the show but i didnt know they emailed you/you could email them. Pretty cool. spreckenzeedeu 04-25-2008, 04:59 AM and iris, how'd you get her email? Do you really think, I would tell you? No Way! Pat 04-25-2008, 04:32 PM this week Sunday Apr 27th YoliUSA 04-25-2008, 06:13 PM CFC seems to be one of those shows that is a double-edged sword. Just ask Willie Aames or Jeff Conaway. I agree. In one of the first eps she said that she had never watched the show before, so clearly she didn't know what she was getting into. Maybe being followed by cameras 24 hours a day overwhelmed her. She seemed to be very motivated at the beginning, don't know the reason why she changed her mind. Has she fallen on hard times maybe? Something about the way she said it and looked like she was close to crying when dealing with the psychologist (forgot her name) gave me the impression that she might be hurting financially. That's what most people think, from what I've read on the internet and heard from other people who watch the show. I don't know why anyone on there acted so surprised--like they are NOT there too for the money? Yes, I truly believe some of them are there for the fitness aspect, but the paycheck has to mean something too. Why else would Dustin come back--for him, more media attention and another paycheck. I believe that neither Willie nor Tina are doing it for the exposure. I truly don't know why celebrities do these kinds of shows to try to make a comeback when in 98% of the cases it doesn't work. Maybe if they're lucky they get more offers for reality shows but nothing more than that. According to IMDB, Erin is going to be in 2 independent films but they were filmed before CFC, so I guess she wasn't offered the roles because of her being on the show. Also I found an interview of her where she said that Celebrity Fit Club was her biggest career regret, I guess she knew that all that footage of her was going to be shown. The only people from this show that IMO will move on to bigger and better things are Toccara and Brian Dunkleman. Sorry for the long post. :) shotzette 04-25-2008, 10:29 PM I must say that after watching this show I don't really like Erin anymore, sorry. I don't know what she wanted to accomplish by being on this show, other than getting a paycheck of course. I hope she isn't reading what people on the internet and other message boards are posting about her. Just my opinion. :) OMG! I nearly fell out of my seat when i saw the outtake from CFC of her faking an orgasm on you.tube. Granted, I know that these people are NOT the characters that they played on TV, but that one really knocked me for a loop. It's sad, really. After seeing her on the HD reunion show and Scott Baio's show on VH1, it sort of looked like she'd pulled herself out of that really bizarre hole that she'd dug herself into in the 90s. Jude The Obscure 04-26-2008, 01:47 AM I never understood what happened to her then--was she under the influence of some Svengali type? Ya know when she making all these wild accusations against her male co-stars, etc and purposely avoided the first HD reunion special. Tina Yothers on E! the other night stated she believed that Erin is bi-polar. Wreckless 04-27-2008, 07:09 PM Do you really think, I would tell you? No Way! gay!!!! i'll be sure to find it, she needs to answer more fans Wreckless 04-27-2008, 07:12 PM yea Erin is probably bi polar, but that cast is full of rejects, tina yothers looks like a clam, willie is annoying, so is that mexican guy, i can't stand that cast...dustin is annoying ThomasE 05-04-2008, 07:14 PM Now, I like Tina. She is cool. Tina had a baby and she really took advantage of the opportunity that the show offered to her. Dustin (IMO) wanted another paycheck. YoliUSA 05-04-2008, 07:42 PM but that cast is full of rejects, tina yothers looks like a clam, willie is annoying, so is that mexican guy, i can't stand that cast...dustin is annoying Mexican guy??? You must be referring to AJ Benza. He's Italian ;) Tina was awesome. Willie, Toccara & AJ were also my favs. Ireneparalegal 05-04-2008, 07:51 PM Yeah, I was going to say AJ is not mexican. And he has a career as hosting a poker show on the Game Show Network so it is not like he is hurting for money. He has a great income. He probably wanted more exposure for the poker show, which if you think abt it makes sense so that more viewers can tune in, not to mention getting fit. I mean really, who wants to be on a diet? It takes incentive and the drive to want to lose weight and be fit and trim. So what better incentive than to be on show where you are competing for prizes and $$$. Not to mention getting some cash merely to appear. Losing weight is not easy even if you are rich. You can hire all the trainers you want but if you don't have the desire to eat a certain way, do exercise, run and do other stuff, you are no different than the person laying on the couch at home. |
