View Full Version : 2007/2008 Primetime Shows you Know are coming to DVD ryan423 02-24-2008, 05:03 AM If I had to guess, the first seasons of Back to You and Big Bang theory will be released on DVD later this year! What new primetime shows do you think will recieve a 1st season dvd release later this year? Dean Winchester 02-24-2008, 05:06 AM for hour long shows: Pushing Daisies is a pretty safe DVD bet I'd say. I bet we'll see Reaper season 1, supernatural WB/CW type shows always fare well on DVD and this should be no exception. Private Practice probably will just because it's a Grey's spinoff, even tho I doubt it'll do a fraction of Grey's business. I'd love to see Eli Stone come as well, but it depends on if the show even gets renewed or not. Tubehead 02-24-2008, 01:11 PM I hope jourany man comes out on dvd. I would like to see season 2 of heros come out. JulieSomoski 02-24-2008, 06:28 PM Definitely Big Bang Theory - Warner will be smarter and release this show after each season, instead of waiting like they did with Two And a Half Men. I think FOX would release the first season of Back to You. Private Practice and Pushing Daisies would probably do well on DVD. The complete series of Bionic Woman will make it to DVD. Samantha Who? is also another possibility. Pavan 02-24-2008, 07:10 PM Multicamera sitcoms usually don't come out as fast because of syndication...but there have been exceptions, like Old Christine. So don't expect Big Bang or Back to You on DVD quick, but it has a chance since Old Christine is out. Well anyway, the canceled Bionic Woman is coming to DVD in a few months. So that will be the first one. Dean Winchester 02-24-2008, 07:13 PM I think now that TV-DVD is more common, multicamera sitcoms are coming out faster. How I Met Your Mother and Till Death are two other multicamera sitcoms I can think of that came out really quick. People are beginning to realize the DVD market and the syndicated market aren't one and the same, because shows like Seinfeld, Raymond and Friends continue to score well in reruns even tho all three shows have been completed on DVD. |
