Whoa, you scared me Solomon, I thought you were telling us you lost your job and your mom told you that. Phew...ok, you are talking abt Florida. I sure as hell wouldn't want to hear that especially if I was in the financial situation like the Evans'.

I would not be in the mood for a lot of things. I'd be one p*ssed off woman. I have never lost a job, but I know it wouldn't be a good feeling. Especially for the Evans' family, they needed every penny.

I guess J.J. was one of those people whose stomach was ready to eat, no matter what was going on...good or bad.

J.J. wanting to eat proves that J.J. had a roof over his head and food on the table (and in his stomach) so what big deal was it to him if he lost his job?

Let me take back something I posted here. I said I never lost a job. Well, I was NEVER fired, but I was laid off from a law firm when they were downsizing and I did get injured on my last job which caused me to have back problems to this date. I wish I had clarified that above in my post. I guess I was stuck on the whole BEING FIRED comment. So in essence, I know what it feels like to "lose a job" and when I did get laid off, I had just filed for divorce, so I was really really feeling lousy. I cried that night. I couldn't eat. I don't care if it was a chocolate cake, I had no stomach for eating. When I got hurt at work, that was even worse since it kept me from working again. Real bad times. Couldn't even afford a pie to eat.

There'd be no money left over for pie. J.J. would have to "find" a pie.

I guess you missed my post above Solomon.

I had a similar situation on my 30th birthday but I held it together, on june 22, 2005, I was laid off on my birthday, came home and got in a fight with you on Sitcomsonline which led to a suspension by TJ, and was wondering what I was going to do-lol

OMG I remember that. You took it so wrong when I said something abt a co-worker who was wearing tight pants and I said something along the lines of, "Well, you don't work there anymore so what is the problem?" OHHHHHH the drama.   The good ol' days.

 Yeah, like you could really relax after losing your job and NOT being able to post here on the boards. Telling you to watch tv after being suspended and laid off sounds a lot like Florida telling J.J. "I've got a nice sweet potato pie for you."

BTW, that argument started on a thread that Brieannas made and that was back on June 29, 2006, not 2005. ;)
