Isn't that a great title!!

This, from my memory of the show on regular tv reruns, seems to be one of the least aired. I think it was rarely shown.

I know Sherwood loves the fish wrestling scene, but I think the talking into the fish scene is much funnier!

Their bamboo tree is quite inventive and looks better than alot of the "token" Christmas trees I've seen other people put up.

This is one case where, I think, you really can't blame them for being upset with Gilligan--he should have known better than to drop the logs on the transmitter. I know some people debate this and blame the Skipper for the disaster.

In the "I feel like I'm on fire" scene where the two girls give Gilligan a thank you kiss--it seems a bit strange that he backs away from Maryann, too; he usually doesn't do that with her--but, maybe it was necessary for the double-kiss gag.

This used to be my least favorite episode, but I've come to find a renewed love for it. (afteral, who in truth can dislike any of the episodes?)

While using clips of the unaired pilot for flashback purposes was pretty cool, I wish they might have take this idea further. Such as flashing back to before they were stranded on the island, or even when they were actually on the SS Minnow.

Out of all of Gilligan's many blunders, I'll agree that this one annoys me the most. Couldn't he have just held the logs a bit longer until the SKipper was finished? Erg... oh well.

Talking to fish; so priceless. In fact, that in itself holds the escense of just how much television has changed. If some show of today was to do that, the viewers/networks would consider it stupid and childish. Some people have no sense of humour.

I love the beginning and end of this episode in how they encompase the holiday. However, I really wish that the whole episode would have covered the holiday and its festivities!

Sorry it has taken so long to reply!

To me, one of the funniest parts of this episode is when Gilligan has caught all those fish and one of them has swallowed the radio and there is an exercise program on and the announcer is leading the listeners in deep knee bends and he's saying "1,2,3,4. Up down 3, 4." Then he says,"Come on you lets get with it". And Gilligan says, "Me?". And the radio says,"I mean you yes". That just always strikes me very funny and I play that part over about 3 or 4 times before continuing.

As far as being mad at Gilligan for dropping the wood on the transmitter, maybe since the load was big, he just didn't realize he was standing over the transmitter. Now if you want to talk about being mad at Gilligan, the episode that got me mad at him was the one where Mr. Barkly was there. He was the guy who would win $10,000 if he stayed on a deserted island for a week. At the end when everybody is looking out for the boat thats going to pick him up, Skipper asks Gilligan why he's looking up and Gillgan says he's watching the heliocopter take off. And Skipper demands to know why he didn't say anything and Gilligan said he was told to look out for a boat and he's smart enough to know the difference between a boat and a heliocopter.
Now, come on, I know that getting rescued was not something that was to happen during the series and that the point of the epsodes were for rescue attempts to be fouled up, but I mean really!! That was too stupid even for Gilligan.

I agree with you.I was really angry at Gilligan for that one.He just watched the helicopter take off and didn't say anything

But,as for Birds gotta fly,Fish gotta talk. It's a very funny episode. The fishing scene is just amazing,I love it!!!It's so hilarious everyone is talking into a fish because the professor said so:)

By the way, someone should have told Gilligan that he was standing over the transmittor?Oh!They didn't noticed too busy watching the skipper talking into it!!!Well, since when Gilligan is more awared than the others?Anyway,it was much funnier:lol:

If Gilligan had done that, the castaways would have been rescued and then...the show would be over, so no that could not happen.

There's a little bit of information about Mary Ann that is revealed in this episode.

While the other castaways are speaking into the fish, I noticed that Mary Ann acts like she's speaking to her Uncle George rather than her parents, this caught my attention and got me to wondering if either her parents didn't have a phone and her Uncle did or that her Uncle was a ham radio operator.

Just something I noticed.
