Okay this is kind of weird because no one I know really understands it nor has it, so I'm going to see if anyone here does. First, you know how when you bend over or sit you'll get creases in your stomach? Regardless if it's a lot of fat or not, we all get it I think. Basically my problem is that the creases that are created don't go away when I stand up. There's two prominent pink lines that go across my stomach and I don't even know if I'd call them stretch marks or not. I haven't lost or gain any weight, so I don't know if it'd even be classified as that. On top of that, they've been there for years now.

It makes me pretty self conscious in a bathing suit or something, and with warmer weather coming around I really want to do something about it this year. I just don't know what? Would I treat it as a stretch mark and use like, cocoa butter or something? Thing is, I don't see how something that simple could take away these lines that have been there forever. It's extremely annoying. So, any input or suggestions would be awesome because I really dont know what to do about it lol.

I have no idea if this works but I know for a scar this helped me. I used cocoa butter cream twice daily on this scar on my leg. I did this for several months and during the summer when I got tanned, it disappeared.

It is believed cocoa butter helps to smooth out skin imperfections, stretch marks, etc. with daily use. As a matter of fact, I used that when I was pregnant because I DID NOT WANT STRETCH MARKS. I never got any either. :)

It doesn't hurt to try.

Vitamin E is supposed to be good for healing scars...I think they carry it in an ointment form at drug stores :) That may help you.

Aloe is also supposed to speed the healing of scars, I believe.

When I lost a lot of weight about 15 years ago, I had that problem for a while. Though my weight stayed fit, it went away after about a year or so. What happened was that someone suggested specific stomach-muscle exercises (chinups, etc).

I don't know if that helps at all, but that's the extent of my experience. :)

Thanks, guys. I'll probably try these things out. So you think these would be classified as scars, then? I wasn't exactly sure of the reason I have them and why no one else seems to have it.

Well, I wouldn't call them scars, but if were able to get rid of scars or avoid them with the things we used, then I would think those skin marks you have might have a chance at disappearing. It sounds more like skin creases that developed over time and the pinkish marks are the result of that fold in your skin. Use the cocoa butter cream liberally. Good luck and let us know how it works out.

like everyone's mentioned, cocoa butter should work on those lines. and you can always try bio-oil, though it is a little pricier than cocoa butter.

Oh, thanks! I'll probably try the cheaper stuff first. :p

I thought I'd let you know that I know what you're talking about; I've seen those kinds of lines before. You aren't alone. I don't have lines on my stomach but I have similar lines on my shoulders from bra straps. Hate them too.
If all else fails, you can always ask a dermatologist if they have any suggestions too.

Don't worry.;) That happens to me all the time. If I'm slouching for a while while I'm reading and then I get up, I have this pink line and it stays there for like the rest of the day.
