View Full Version : Season 1 Volume 1 Coming June 3rd gotsmart 02-19-2008, 04:32 PM http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Sons-Season-1-Volume-1/9030 honeybea 02-19-2008, 09:09 PM Wonderful news! Now if we could get the rest of the greats, like Petticoat Junction and The Donna Reed show. Scoobiedoo30 02-19-2008, 09:14 PM Awsome Cover Art treky 02-20-2008, 02:16 AM  party: I'm dissapointed though, that it's only going to be half of the first season. Oh well; let's just hope the episodes are uncut! Jack77 02-20-2008, 06:17 AM Yes Paramount does not have faith that this set will do well in sales & this is their way of testing the waters. They do this with all their old shows that they own. Although these are considered the Lost B&W episodes that have not been seen on TV for the last several years, hopefully we can get the word around for everyone to buy a set so Paramount can start working on Volume 2 and plan ahead for Season 2. JO storrs19 02-20-2008, 10:11 AM Good grief  We wait ten million years for this show to finally get to dvd (legit) and they cant't even release a whole d*mn season at one time  I'm sure glad I grabbed a copy of the entire series from I-Offer. Yes the epsiodes are from tv but many run 25 minutes being taped from TVLand Canada or a local station that didn't seem to edit much from them. This is just stupid! Why can't they release a whole season at once? I suppose I will buy it to help further releases but this show ran for twelve seasons so at this rate it will take two decades to get the entire series out legit on dvd. TV Guy 02-20-2008, 10:11 PM Since it's unlikely that Paramount will get around to releasing all 12 seasons, I'd rather see a "Best of" set, with memorable episodes from all seasons of the show. JO gotsmart 02-21-2008, 04:29 PM The release has been pulled from the schedule, hopefully the delay won't be too long: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Sons-Season-1-Volume-1-Delayed/9045 Jude The Obscure 02-21-2008, 11:45 PM The release has been pulled from the schedule, hopefully the delay won't be too long: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Sons-Season-1-Volume-1-Delayed/9045 AWWWWWWWWWWWWW CRAP!! TV Guy 02-22-2008, 12:02 AM  Horrible idea & lets not incourage this type of suggestion!!! JO In your opinion. I'd rather get a collection of episodes from all the seasons rather than a bunch from the early years only. But apparently, it's a moot point anyway. OH Nuts! 02-22-2008, 02:06 AM Wonderful news! Now if we could get the rest of the greats, like Petticoat Junction and The Donna Reed show. Amen to that! Great to see you Honeybea--how's the viewing? Right now I'm in the middle of the 2nd Season of Barney Miller & am in heaven! OH Nuts! 02-22-2008, 02:09 AM In your opinion. I'd rather get a collection of episodes from all the seasons rather than a bunch from the early years only. But apparently, it's a moot point anyway. I feel the way you do but, oddly, this rarely happens with DVDs. Of course, what's best of all is when the complete series is released. But sadly, this only happens with wildly popular shows like I Love Lucy. storrs19 02-22-2008, 02:05 PM Now I'm even more glad that I got my set from the grey market. I was just watching a few episodes this morning from season 7 and wondering how else Paramount would screw this series up. When I got an email from www.tvshowsondvd.com I found out. honeybea 02-22-2008, 03:34 PM Hi Rich! Watching some very old dvd's of December Bride and waiting for Rawhide to release the next dvd in May, I think. For some reason, I'm into watching westerns. I wish they would release another Have Gun Will Travel season soon. Sorry for getting off topic. I think that My Three Sons will be released, but maybe not as soon as first stated. I doubt they would have the cover already made if they didn't intend to release it at all. esl 02-23-2008, 12:48 PM I too bought a complete set from the grey market earlier this year, but will buy this set if/when it is released. I just hope they give it the same care they did with the recent Perry Mason releases; full original running times and mastered from the original elements. Sadly, I do not think these studios know how to market these older shows to maximize sales. |
