View Full Version : One of the worst feelings in the world....
4starcashier 02-19-2008, 03:30 PM ...is wondering if you are gonna pass a class or not!
I just took my Econ test and like other people we know we failed it and I am at a D already but we get three lowest score quizzes from that term dropped and our participation points and yesterday's extra credit (say maybe 10-15 pts) haven't been calculated into our grade yet (thank god) so I'm hoping I will squeak by like Mr. Hand let Jeff Spicoli squeak by in History!!!! STRESSED OUT RIGHT NOW....SO THE DRAMA!!!!
Can anyone relate?
InspectorExstead 02-19-2008, 05:13 PM class grades are always an annoying situation. =/
when does school end for you? maybe you still have time to bump your grade up?
SBTB Geek 02-19-2008, 05:21 PM I actually love that sort of anticipation. Crazy, I know.
Hollow 02-19-2008, 08:33 PM ew yes. last semester i was afraid i was going to fail all of my classes. ended with one B, two C's (one of which was actually a 69.7 that my teacher kindly rounded up) and two D's. i'm repeating one of the D classes. awful feeling.
4starcashier 02-19-2008, 08:58 PM Our college is strange...the end of the term is Thursday and our last test was today...we have four terms per year....Fall-Winter-Spring-Summer....and I am PRAYING that I get a D still as I had a D before lol...I know it's a bad grade but it's Econ and it's harder than hell!
dawsongirl 02-19-2008, 09:05 PM Oh yeah. I did that with Grammar. Yeah, I barely passed Grammar. The whole ****ing class was diagraming sentences or something...no one teaches that anymore, so why we had to learn it is beyond me. Anyway, I never understood it and I got Fs on quizzes and I was so afraid I wouldn't pass and I wouldn't be able to graduate that May. I got a C...lowest grade I could get.
And econ.....BORING.
OH Nuts! 02-19-2008, 09:10 PM There's always one course that's the course from h*ll. For me it was a college math course called Functions of A Real Variable. The first time I took it I was failing it, so I asked the prof. for an incomplete. He was kind and gave it to me. The second time I took it with a professor who was just great and I eked out a C-. I was never so happy to get a C- in my life.
mc_light1202 02-19-2008, 09:22 PM I definitely understand that. I especially hate not knowing if i'll pass a class that's a prerequisite. I had that problem with a math class a while ago, but iI got lucky and passed. My major is pretty popluar at my school, so it's a bitch trying to rework a schedule at the last minute if you don't pass.

ditto. for me it was stats. it was my only c on my transcript but man...i was never happier to see a c in my life! lol.
4starcashier...hope you passed your econ class. i've never taken econ (yet at least) but it sounds boring/hard.
HuntingtonM15 02-20-2008, 12:06 AM I HATE Econ. I've already taken two Econ classes, and I still have one to go. I'm totally dreading it.

I actually really liked Stats, but mostly because I had one of the greatest prof's ever. I'm looking forward to taking the second Stats class with her.

yeah, i actually loved stats in the beginning too. it was so easy & i even had an a. but then it got harder & there were waaay too many formulas to memorize. so everything went downhill from there. lol. but i'm pretty sure that was the last math i'll ever have to take again! ha...being a poli sci major is awesome! lol.

Yeah, the formulas do get pretty intense. Lucky...I cannot stand math.
