Ok, is it just me or am I the only one annoyed by the fact that TV Land keeps airing all these movies instead of TV shows, hence the name TV Land? There are so many great shows just sitting in the vaults, and when we could be getting reruns of Here's Lucy or The Lucy Show, not to mention so many other wonderful shows, we get stuck having to watch movies on a station that is suppose to celebrate television?
What a joke of a network has this become or what? (Not to mention it seems like everytime I tune in TV Land to watch ILL, it seems to be the same episodes that keep getting repeated! There's 179 episodes ... I don't need to see the one with Lucy wishing she could call Little Ricky from Europe over and over again!)

Ok, back to our regular scheduled discussions about ILL and Lucille Ball!

 Funny, when I click on to see I LOVE LUCY showing on TVLand, it almost always seems to be one of the first season episodes or the Ricardos in Europe. I am telling myself, "Wasn't this just aired the other day?"

I realized that when they started airing movies!!! Then when I seen that ILL episode with Orson Welles being aired 4 times in the same week, I just lost it.

Same here. We no longer need them anyway, we have everything she ever did on DVD now so they can go forth and reproduce . . . LOL!

TV Land will never show The Lucy Show or Here's Lucy in syndication. I read somewhere that they believe that I Love Lucy is when Lucille Ball is in her prime form, and that is the comedy show which viewers are most interested in seeing.

Only because those viewers have never been given the chance to sample the OTHER shows that were sometimes even better than the ILL shows were. There were calssics as well as dogs in all her series and everybody else's for that matter.

Yes, even the best of the best in any field (be it in movies, TV, music, books, etc, etc, etc) has a day or two where not everything gels. Just because Lucille's other series may not be as popular or considered the classic as the might I Love Lucy is doesn't mean that these other series should be ignored. This "in her prime" is just an excuse for TV Land to NOT air real classic TV shows (be it Lucy's or any others) and start to air reruns of so-called classics from the 1990s!

By the way, when does the Hallmark Channel pick-up ILL? Is it in early 2009? I know it's sometime within the next year, unless that changed!

TV Land has been a big fat joke for some time now! I don't expect them to change so whatever I can get on DVD of Lucy or any other classic shows, I get! I stopped watching that stupid network awhile ago.

Exactly, we do not NEED them anymore, we have what we want on DVD, so let their ratings drop as a new generation gets weaned on crap instead of classics.

With stupid shows like HIGH SCHOOL REUNION airing, it has definitely hit the bottom of the toilet. C'mon now, who the hell wants to watch a bunch of losers visit with their old high school friends, dates, lovers, exes, etc.??? I don't give a f***.

OH Nuts!
